For those with an API with Parent Square, it would be nice to be able to add the parent responses from Parent Square directly into Aeries Attendance Notes via the API.

PBIS Page for Documenting Behaviors for Teacher Referrals
PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) is a discipline methodology and practice that we would like to have incorporated in either discipline or interventions pages. If there was a page to document behaviors - positive & negative, to be able to run daily reports for the PBIS teams to use data to form decisions about students behavior and to create interventions before it becomes an assertive discipline issue. Clarifies that LEAs providing traditional independent study must document time value in hours or fraction of an hour for both work products and time spent in computer-based programs (Education Code (EC) Section 51747.5(b)(2)(A)(ii)).
The documentation of time value in increments of an hour or fraction of an hour must occur before converting the associated time to a day of average daily attendance (ADA) but is not required to be done on an hour-by-hour basis.

As soon as we have all the information they intend to collect, and what the draft audit guidelines are, we can begin development on what changes we need to make for the upcoming school year, to be sure our customers can track the information needed for this reporting.

CALPADS - Allow users to select E150 mid-year exit reason in Attendance Enrollment and ENR and allow for XRF translation.
Request for the CALPADS student exit code E150 (program/grade change) to be added to Aeries. Allow users to select E150 mid-year exit reason in Attendance Enrollment and ENR and allow for XRF translation. Instead of the extract pulling the proper E150 code when the student has the program/grade change, it would be nice for users to be able to select the proper E150 when applicable. This would avoid confusion when E150 is referenced in CALPADS trainings or discussions.

Data Confirmation - Add Migrant Questions
I'd like a Migrant Screen added to the Data confirmation, please. The 2-3 Migrant questions are the same throughout the state and this would save parents and staff so much time. It could resemble the residency screen.

Update Attendance automatically based on Assertive Discipline suspension
When an Admin inputs a suspension within a student's Assertive Discipline, which notates the number of days the student is suspended and what dates, is there a way to make that automatically populate "S" as the all-day attendance code in that student's attendance? The student's attendance isn't always updated that day for suspensions. Then an attendance notification will out to the parent asking why the student was absent which would have been because they were suspended.

Add Dual Enrollment Credit School and College Credit Hours in Scheduling
The Dual Enrollment Credit School and College Credit Hours fields have to be manually entered. For each student and each course. For a district that has over 500 students taking college courses, some of them more than one college course, putting the data in manually for each course is not feasible. If those fields were in the SEC or CRS tables it would alleviate many hours (days, even) of manual entry.

Update Student Demographics page for Parent/Guardian names and phone numbers
In CALPADS the parent guardian names are split into two fields, Partent/Guardian #1 / Parent/Guardian #2. Some of our students have same parents and this would help with the name entry. The Father's work and Mother's work field headers also need to be updated to Parent/Guardian #1 and Parent/Guardian #2 for the same reason. Family key could then be matched based on the name and phone number in the Parent/Guardian #1 fields.

Assertive Discipline Report that aligns with CA Dashboard
We have a need to monitor Suspension data and compare it with the California Dashboard. There is currently no report that can be easily pulled and compared to the dashboard. We want to see the actual number of students who have been suspended at least once in the school year, broken down by subgroup (gender, ethnicity/race and disability) as well as overall. We also want to see a total days of suspension for each student and we would like to be able to see the Suspension rate indicator that is on the CA Dashboard.
We thought about Analytics first but…

Please add row and column totals to the Weekly Attendance Reports. This should be based on the Counts for ADA Flag in the Absence Code Table. If the attendance code is flagged as Count for ADA it should be counted.

CALPADS STAS - Do Not Populate Attendance Recovery Field for Exempt Students
To prevent STAS0304, do not populate any value in the Attendance Recovery column for students marked as exempt when generating the STAS file. The Attendance Recovery Days column should contain 'null' if the student is exempt from Attendance based on the 13.13 Student Absence Summary Data Collection Exemption Indicator.
