Weekly Attendance Reports - Add Totals
Please add row and column totals to the Weekly Attendance Reports. This should be based on the Counts for ADA Flag in the Absence Code Table. If the attendance code is flagged as Count for ADA it should be counted.

Assertive Discipline Report that aligns with CA Dashboard
We have a need to monitor Suspension data and compare it with the California Dashboard. There is currently no report that can be easily pulled and compared to the dashboard. We want to see the actual number of students who have been suspended at least once in the school year, broken down by subgroup (gender, ethnicity/race and disability) as well as overall. We also want to see a total days of suspension for each student and we would like to be able to see the Suspension rate indicator that is on the CA Dashboard.
We thought about Analytics first but…

Data Confirmation Alert
It would be super helpful to have an alert pop-up on the Demographics (& possible also the Contacts) page if a family has not completed Data Confirmation. This would help office staff notice if a family has not completed Data Confirmation when the family is in the office or on the phone.

Online Enrollment - Allow entry of mobile phone to satisfy phone entry requirement
During the data entry for Emergency Contacts during online enrollment, a parent is presented with an error if they only enter a mobile phone number, but nothing in the "primary phone number" field. We don't want people double entering the same phone number, and in this day, most people only have a mobile phone. It would be great if an entry in either field satisfied the data entry requirement. Even better: allow users to specify which fields are required!

Parent Data Confirmation: add option to disallow parent changing Authorizations after PDC complete
After a parent completes Parent Data Confirmation, they can change their Authorizations, which means that reports or queries of Authorization records can become out-of-date. The customer would like an option to not allow parents to change Authorizations after PDC is complete as removing a response could cause a NULL record.

Clarifies that LEAs providing traditional independent study must document time value in hours or fraction of an hour for both work products and time spent in computer-based programs (Education Code (EC) Section 51747.5(b)(2)(A)(ii)).
The documentation of time value in increments of an hour or fraction of an hour must occur before converting the associated time to a day of average daily attendance (ADA) but is not required to be done on an hour-by-hour basis.
39 votesWe are tracking info from the CDE on what the changes for Attendance Accounting will be for the various types of instruction covered by AB 176. As soon as we have all the information they intend to collect, and what the draft audit guidelines are, we can begin development on what changes we need to make for the upcoming school year, to be sure our customers can track the information needed for this reporting.

An option to automatically add "in danger of failing" comment if a D/F Mark was entered. This will save a lot of time for teachers during grade reporting window.

Add the option to sort and print the Student Locator Card by the flex period# (FTF.STI) instead of start time
Allowing the option to sort and print the student locator card and by FTF.STI (flex period short title) instead of the flex period time. The student locator card sorted by the time is then not sorted by the short title and is not in order and confuses students and parents.
This is because my sites have 1,2,3 as A-Day and 4,5,6 as B-Day and the time span is exactly the same. I have attached screenshots as examples.

Update Attendance automatically based on Assertive Discipline suspension
When an Admin inputs a suspension within a student's Assertive Discipline, which notates the number of days the student is suspended and what dates, is there a way to make that automatically populate "S" as the all-day attendance code in that student's attendance? The student's attendance isn't always updated that day for suspensions. Then an attendance notification will out to the parent asking why the student was absent which would have been because they were suspended.

Please add Actual Courses for Placeholder Courses i.e. (Edgenuity, APex or Indepdendent Study) for non Alternative Ed. Scheduling
Would like to see a solution for High Schools who offer online courses (i.e. Edgenuity, APEX) and or use placeholder courses. Currently, High Schools are unable to know the exact course that students are taking via Edgenuity program, which makes it highly problematic to schedule, figure out their graduation status, keep tabs on progress via grading, transcribing.
In looking at current Aeries features there are 2 current functions that get close to providing a solution. The first one is Alternative Ed. Scheduling, however I was told that this feature would not work in a regular comprehensive, as it would throw…

Synchronize user accounts between Online Enrollment and Parent Portal
We have a problem with parents who return to online enrollment after several years. They often think that their usernames and passwords that they have used in parent portal will carry over, as they do not seem to recognize the systems are seperate.
Ideally, the Parent Portal should have either an entry point to online enrollment or there should be an account sync.
