  1. Email Missing Assignments to Students

Allow teachers to send the missing assignment to students, like they can for parents. Some teachers would like to send the report to students first, to use as a motivational tool, before sending to parents or making the assignment results visible in the portal.

  4. Allow the Aeries Gradebook to automatically update the "total points possible for an assignment" when it gets changed

Please allow Aeries gradebook to update student scores with a new total points possible for an assignment when the assignment is updated and scores already exist for that assignment. Please see attached photos of the discrepancy.

  5. Gradebook Standards - Add Color to Proficiency Numbers

Adding color to proficiency would assist teachers in getting an at-a-glance view of their students' performance without having to look at each number separately. This could be by assignment or standard, etc.

We are adding the ability for a district to define default color schemes for “Percentages” and “Rubrics”, and will be able to be turned off or on by teacher. This will be available to all teachers after development and testing has been completed, most likely during the summer. Thank you for your continual feedback!

  6. Add Scheduling Group and ability to sort to the Gradebook Scores by Class page

Add the ability to add the Scheduling Group field to the Gradebook Scores by Class page. Also add the ability to sort by this field.

  7. Option to alphabetize Gradebook Rosters by First Name

Teams doesn't alphabetize by last name, so it would be nice to have the option to customize my class or gradebook rosters by first or last name, so that it matches with Teams.

  8. Making it easier to see if assignment grade is viewable to parents

There are some assignments or times when I don't want it visible to parents, but it is not easy to see which ones are and which are not.
So a code in the scores by class view or in the manage assignment section (like you have a place to show if grading completed or not.

  9. Missing Assignments by Student

Print missing assignments from multiple gradebooks by student instead of by gradebook so each student gets one page listing all missing work instead of multiple shreds of paper.

  10. Allow teachers to prevent their Google Classroom assignments and scores from being included in the nightly import sync

As of 08/28/2020 districts may automatically sync all Google Classroom assignments and scores, or none with the nightly sync. It would be very helpful if a teacher could "opt-out" of this nightly sync, or "opt-in" if the nightly sync not enabled. Would be perfect to be do-able on a per-gradebook basis.

  11. Allow the importing of Google Classroom assignments after the close of a term.

Allow the importing of Google Classroom assignments after the close of a term. Grading of students is rarely completed before the grading term is over. Most have at least a week to complete the grading.

  13. Gradebook Pages - Highlight Failing Grades

Would like to request that failing grades for assignments are highlighted and failing overall averages are also highlighted. This would allow a quick visual on who is not passing at the moment.

  14. Allow teachers to input student alias in the seating chart in case they go by a name different than the one in Aries

I have students who do not go by the name in Aries, but I am not aware of how or if I can have the seating chart print a student Alias.

  16. "Extra Credit" Gradebook Assignment Issue

Gradebook Assignments:  Prevent anything but numeric values to be entered as a score if the assignment is an "Extra Credit" assignment.  Only allow teacher to enter numeric values and not % values.

When % values are entered for an  "Extra Credit"  assignment and then the assignment is changed to a regular assignment with a Max score, the score is not adjusting correctly.

  17. Gradebook Assignment Extra Credit option

When gradebook assignments are designated to have 0 points, please disable extra credit as the default when 0 points are assigned. Students are getting confused thinking an assignment is zero points, and it's confusing teachers as well.

  18. Not Allow Linking of Gradebooks after creating Categories

Far too many teachers asking me to fix their Gradebooks when they have linked AFTER creating categories and assignments. When linking gradebooks, they currently link via an internal category ID, so if the gradebook is mistakenly linked, a Homework category of one gradebook could be mistakenly linked to a Classwork category of another. This shouldn't even be allowable if it creates issues.

  20. Add a code for missing assignments in gradebook

In the Gradebook, when similar to how there is NA = Not applicable and TX = Teacher Excused, adding another code such as M or MI so that I can manually mark an assignment as missing would be really helpful.

This is particularly true with the new "Import assignments from google button" which will not import scores for assignments that are marked finished.

Currently the teacher must grade everything first then select “is grading complete?" to mark assignments as missing.

Hello! Partial functionality for this feature shipped in the 4/15/2021 Aeries version. A Gradebook Custom Marks Configuration page was released to begin setup of Custom marks for District use. Teachers can contact their District to discuss custom marks.

Integration of this Custom mark Configuration with the Gradebook is still being worked on but will be shipped in the near future.
