Gradebook Assignments - Allow teachers to create recurring assignments that repeat
To help with Hybrid instruction, allow teachers to create recurring assignments in their Gradebooks.
For students engaged in distance learning on a particular day, a teacher must track the means by which the student engaged that day. The Aeries Gradebook is a great place to record this information with a Daily Assignment so the ability to create a recurring assignment would be helpful.
This would add an option for repeating an assignment on a daily or weekly basis until a certain date.

Email Missing Assignments to Students
Allow teachers to send the missing assignment to students, like they can for parents. Some teachers would like to send the report to students first, to use as a motivational tool, before sending to parents or making the assignment results visible in the portal.

Exclude Assignments from Google Import
When importing assignments from Google, we would like the ability to exclude an assignment from being imported into Gradebook.

Set Assignment Type for Google Imports
The ability to set the default assignment type to "formative" for importing assignments from Google, so that they all import as formative rather than summative.

Gradebook Standards - Add Color to Proficiency Numbers
Adding color to proficiency would assist teachers in getting an at-a-glance view of their students' performance without having to look at each number separately. This could be by assignment or standard, etc.
56 votesWe are adding the ability for a district to define default color schemes for “Percentages” and “Rubrics”, and will be able to be turned off or on by teacher. This will be available to all teachers after development and testing has been completed. Thank you for your continual feedback!

Missing Assignments by Student
Print missing assignments from multiple gradebooks by student instead of by gradebook so each student gets one page listing all missing work instead of multiple shreds of paper.

Allow teachers to input student alias in the seating chart in case they go by a name different than the one in Aries
I have students who do not go by the name in Aries, but I am not aware of how or if I can have the seating chart print a student Alias.
65 votesWe are currently researching this topic and would like to get additional feedback on Student Alias names to help make the best development decision. If you haven’t already done so, please complete this brief survey to share your feedback:

Option to alphabetize Gradebook Rosters by First Name
Teams doesn't alphabetize by last name, so it would be nice to have the option to customize my class or gradebook rosters by first or last name, so that it matches with Teams.

Gradebook Pages - Highlight Failing Grades
Would like to request that failing grades for assignments are highlighted and failing overall averages are also highlighted. This would allow a quick visual on who is not passing at the moment.

Add a code for missing assignments in gradebook
In the Gradebook, when similar to how there is NA = Not applicable and TX = Teacher Excused, adding another code such as M or MI so that I can manually mark an assignment as missing would be really helpful.
This is particularly true with the new "Import assignments from google button" which will not import scores for assignments that are marked finished.
Currently the teacher must grade everything first then select “is grading complete?" to mark assignments as missing.
92 votesHello! Partial functionality for this feature shipped in the 4/15/2021 Aeries version. A Gradebook Custom Marks Configuration page was released to begin setup of Custom marks for District use. Teachers can contact their District to discuss custom marks.
Integration of this Custom mark Configuration with the Gradebook is still being worked on but will be shipped in the near future.

Teacher Emulation: Attendance by photo
Our office staff has the need to view teacher seating charts. But, the seating chart report is tied to the old version of the seating charts. It would be helpful if the attendance by photo screen was available in teacher emulation.

"Extra Credit" Gradebook Assignment Issue
Gradebook Assignments: Prevent anything but numeric values to be entered as a score if the assignment is an "Extra Credit" assignment. Only allow teacher to enter numeric values and not % values.
When % values are entered for an "Extra Credit" assignment and then the assignment is changed to a regular assignment with a Max score, the score is not adjusting correctly.

Multi-gradebook-Scores by Class page to show school code for each student vs. ID#
I would like to suggest that when using the multi-gradebook feature, on the teachers gradebook scores by class page, for them to have the option to show school code instead of student ID#.

Gradebook Assignment Extra Credit option
When gradebook assignments are designated to have 0 points, please disable extra credit as the default when 0 points are assigned. Students are getting confused thinking an assignment is zero points, and it's confusing teachers as well.
