Gradebook - Clarity Needed between Missing Assignment and Assignment Not Yet Graded - Parent/Student Portals
In the parent and student portal, it's not very clear when an assignment is missing versus the assignment is just not graded yet. The "Grading Complete: True/False" is very confusing to students and parents. Can this wording be updated or can assignments that are not yet checked "Grading Complete" not show as missing?

Add the ability to delete assignment a single gradebook within shared gradebooks
Having the ability to remove an assignment from from an individual gradebook while maintaining shared gradebooks is an important feature to have as classes occasionally need to have different assignments to meet specific needs.

Gradebook Assignment Visibility to Portal
When I create an assignment, I don't want it to automatically be visible to the portal, but I also don't want to have to go back in and make it visible later. Can we add another date for when it becomes visible on the portals?

Gradebook Scores - Undo button
PLEASE create an UNDO button for the "Scores by Class" page and the scores by "Assignment" page.
When entering scores by class, if you accidentally hit the space bar while a student score is selected, that score is gone forever! Also, when entering comments in the scores by assignment page, it automatically selects the entire comment and can easily delete the entire comment when you just wanted to add something at the end.
How is it possibly 2025 and we don't have an Undo button?2 votes -
I would like to be able to generate a progress report for each student to show a detailed list of missing assignments for each of their clas
I teach a secondary level study skills class and would like to generate a progress report that lists all missing assignments for each student in each of their classes in addition to their grade. Currently, I can generate a report (Progress Report by Student) that lets me see a student's grade and that the student has certain a number of missing assignments but it doesn't list what these missing assignments are. Is there a report that can list the missing assignments for each of their classes? Otherwise, I have to access each student's profile, click on their missing assignment list,…

Gradebook - Provide median and mode, along with class average for tests/assignments
At a different district when I used to PS, I was able to see the mean, median, and mode for specific assignments/tests, rather than just the class average that Aeries shows. When there are outliers in test scores, it's more accurate to see the median or mode.

Teachers Create Grade Codes
Allow teachers to create a personal code equal to a number. In a previous platform, I was able to create a code NHI for not handed in. This was more accurate than a zero and more informative than a red box.

Assignments-The ability to give full points possible for an assignment based on a set pecentage for exampe 65%= 100 pts earned
I would loke to be able to give student full credit for an assignment based on a minimum percentage score for example
60% or better equals full credit.

Gradebook - Mass edit or drop assignments that are recurring
This would allow the teacher to change a recurring assignment if needed or delete a recurring assignment if something changes. For example if you entered the score as 20 points but need to change it to 25 you can for all recurring not having to do it for each assignment going forward.

Allow Rules to apply to rubric gradebooks
Allow teachers the option to create rules to drop a certain number of low scores from each category (or standard) in a rubric-style gradebook. This would remove those scores for consideration from the averaging (or linear regression) calculation. This could be a district or teacher setting.

In Gradebook "Comments", add a teacher generated comment bank
For teachers that regularly use the comments section on the assignment for student feedback on assignments that may not have a physical document to comment on, it would be great to be able to generate a personal comment bank. I currently have these on a doc and copy/paste for my regularly used comments.

Separate "First Name" and "Last Name" for "Auto Assign Seats" in Seating Chart
On "new seating chart" field, include an option for "auto assign seats" by first name or by last name instead of just "By Name" (Currently if you do "By Name" it sorts by first name)

Allow Aeries to remember which Google Classroom section is it is associated with
Give the ability to associate a gradebook with a particular Google Classroom. When you are importing grades you have to select which Google Classroom you want to choose an assignment from. Aeries should be able to remember which Google Classroom each gradebook should reference instead of asking each time.

Allow posting grades to students, not parents until later.
Situation: Students' parents have high expectations. Student failed a test. I want to allow student to see grade at home so student can process the grade (also, trying to avoid tears in class as many would rather be able to cry about their grade, but not in front of everyone and sometimes they can't help but tear up a bit). If I post the grades, student can see it to process, but parents can also see it. It's a student's grade. I want to have the ability for only them to know for a period of time before parents are…

Allow the comment field from the single "Assignment" page to expand
If I am entering scores by assignment, the comment field is barely an inch and a half wide, so that what I am typing quickly scrolls out of the visible space. If I am entering a comment from the "Scores by Class" page, I can easily see half a paragraph's worth of comment, as opposed to the few words I see from the Assignment page. This is particularly frustrating because in a single assignment, the comments are often similar and being able to read more of the comment would make a copy/paste/slight tweak situation far easier. Please allow an option…

Create a data page that surfaces all relevant data that the SPED teacher needs to fill out IEPs!
Makes grades, state testing scores, transcript progress, contact information and attendance show up on one page! Prevents the hunting and pecking, especially if the teacher can customize it and be a shortcut.

Allowing for easy creation of seating chart by LAST name.
When using the auto-assign seat function, it creates the seating chart by first name only. Please provide option for First OR Last name.

Show unexcused absence for individual period
Create a separate number in the unexcused absence box that distinguishes between full day and single period. This would alert parents, teachers, and advisors when students are cutting individual classes

More options for Emailing Progress Grades to Parents
The option to email parents Progress Grades at different intervals than weekly only. This would be a nice feature to email parents after a grading period. For us that would be every 5 weeks. The reason is weekly is too frequent. Parents disregard them more often then if they received an email after quarter grades or mid terms for example.
