  1. Add field-level API security control for Student Health Problems (STU.HP)

STU.HP is returned by the Aeries API v5 Student GET endpoints with no way to restrict vendor access. Add a "Student Health Notes (STU.HP)" option to Third-Party Authorization security areas so districts can explicitly grant or revoke vendor access, and withhold the field by default until granted.

  3. Aeries REST API: paginated retrieval on the Contacts endpoint for high-volume districts

The Aeries REST API returns correct data, but the Contacts endpoint returns every contact record for a school in a single response. Because the API works as designed, this is an enhancement request rather than a defect.

What is happening now: At high-volume districts, a single large school can return tens of thousands of contact records in one response, which strains memory and slows third-party synchronization.

What would help: Allow the Contacts endpoint to accept StartingRecord and EndingRecord parameters, the same way the Students endpoint already does, so callers can retrieve contacts in bounded ranges instead of one oversized response.…

  4. Online Enrollment (classic) Import — honor delete permissions and keep existing records by default

When importing an Online Enrollment record onto an existing student, unchecking an existing Contact, Medical History, Authorization, or Other District Enrollment record deletes it, and existing records are not pre-selected for import. The import should honor each data area's delete permission (records should not be deleted if the user lacks delete rights for that area) and should default a matched student's existing records to selected, so records are not removed without permission or by accident.

    Functionality Check Questions and Answers

Q: Should users without Delete permissions for the MHS table be allowed, via the import workflow, to delete Medical History…

  5. STAS Extract - Do not allow a negative value to extract

For IS-only students at Flex/Period/Positive Alt Ed schools, the AHS period recalculation was producing data that caused the STAS extract to output a negative DaysAttended value (-0.01), causing CALPADS submission failures. The AHS source data (AHS.PA) showed as non-negative in the database, making this difficult to resolve through standard recalculation steps.

  9. CALPADS 2026–27: Restrict MST.LI and SMS.LI Language Instruction Dropdowns

To support CALPADS 2026–27 reporting requirements, Aeries will restrict the Language Instruction dropdown selections on the Master Schedule (MST.LI) and Scheduling Master Schedule (SMS.LI) pages to only those language codes approved by CALPADS. This change will limit users to valid reporting options and help ensure accurate data entry for course section language instruction reporting.

    9.37 – Itinerant Teacher (Y/N)
    9.38 – Pull-Out/Push-In Teacher (Y/N)

  12. Allow ability to schedule auto-calculations for the Mass Run Attendance page for TX state reporting attendance

Currently, the Mass Run Attendance page allows districts to manually trigger attendance calculations necessary for PEIMS reporting; however, it will be more convenient to have the ability to schedule the calculations to run automatically on a schedule.

  13. Assertive Discipline Increase Dropdown Width for Long Values

We would like to request the ability to increase the width of dropdown fields on specific pages in Aeries, such as Assertive Discipline > Administrative Decision, so users can view the full text of each option without it being truncated.

Currently, many dropdown values are cut off due to the limited field width, making it difficult for users to distinguish between similar options. This can lead to confusion, slower data entry, and the potential for selecting the wrong value. Examples: Reason Different, Return Location and Placement

Allowing the dropdown width to be expanded (or automatically sized to fit the longest…

  14. Work Permits: Add AB 800 Compliance Acknowledgment and Know Your Rights QR Code to Work Permit Workflow

California AB 800 (EC § 49110.5, effective August 1, 2024) requires that every minor submitting a B1-1 work permit receive a copy of the UC Berkeley Labor Center "Know Your Rights" flyer. Aeries currently has no prompt or audit trail for this requirement. What is being requested: A compliance acknowledgment checkbox that must be checked before the B1-4 can be printed, a QR code on the printed B1-4 linking to the "Know Your Rights" flyer, and user audit fields recording who acknowledged the requirement and when. Why this matters: Districts are legally required to distribute the flyer under AB 800…

  19. Have Attendance Recovery Bank (ARB) Results Available At Summer Schools

Currently, summer schools with the DNR flag enabled in School Options do not display any student results on the Attendance Recovery Bank page.

We would like to have these results appear for our summer sites without having to uncheck the DNR box in school options. Ideally, we would like to see the results of the Attendance Recovery Bank for our summer students without the risk of an unintentional upload to CALPADS.
