    This clarification message was added to the SUN Bucks communcation pieced linked earlier, so we are adding it here to maintain consistency as to our plans:

    There seems to still be some confusion, so we are clarifying out intended actions, as many comments added to this idea cover a wide variety of requests:


    We are planning development during the current quarter to make specific upgrades to allow recording in Aeries which students were designated as Free or Reduced based on the UBA (and not the NSLP Application) via a new Source Code. Also, in the same way that districts can make the NSLP application available for download in the parent portal, a customized UBA could also be uploaded into the Parent Portal so they can access it to fill out.

  2. Define Required Fields for the FOF table

    This is a request that the Define Required Fields page include the FOF table. There are certain fields that are required when submitting a FOF record up through CALPADS (such as Effective Date, Leave, etc.) The ability to define certain fields as required before they can save a 504 record would be helpful.

  3. CAPSDAC Phase 2

    On 3/6/25 CAPSDAC announced Phase 2 of their data collection, which will greatly expand the type of data collected for PreSchool students. There will be multiple new files, similar to CALPADS. We will be meeting with them to try and get the layouts once they are finalized, so we can program it into our system. Please subscribe to this idea if you wish to be informed about the progress.

  4. Data Validation Results Page Visual Display in Dark Mode

    When Dark mode is enabled, a visual issue occurs where some of the results dropdown menus and windows are not properly aligned or highlighted in correct color. Refreshing the page can be used to correct the visual issues.

    Teacher cannot view existing attendance taken or take attendance as expected in Teacher Portal when lunch count is enabled.

  6. Color Code Academic Plan Failed Couses/A-G D Gradees

    In the Academic Plan- Color code failed classes Red
    Grades of D color code Yellow, so that the student knows that needs to be retaken. The student/counselor and parent can clearly distinguish visiually see areas of need and the student can update their academic plan.
    Green- Complete
    Blue-Planned
    Orange- In progress
    Red-Failed
    Yellow-A-G recieved a D need to repeat (or need a C in the next semester for Chem, Math, Spanish)

    We should have the option to add or remove the "district enter date" on the transcript.

  8. For Report Cards

    It may already be in place and my district just doesn't have it set up correctly. We have to go in and manually put in Quarter 1, Quarter 2 etc. Why can't it automatically put that on the top of the report card for the quarter we are printing? If we forget it will always say quarter 1 progress report.

  9. Add the SPED case manager/IEP facilitator to the Student SPED Program banner

    It would be very helpful if you can display the IEP facilitator/Case manager on the Student Program Banner next to Special Ed or Enter Date. I believe the field is CSE.LF. Thanks

  12. Online Enrollment - Modify "Other District Enrollments"

    Allow charter schools to modify the section that indicates "this district" as this is not applicable and confuses parents when they complete the enrollment application. Parents think the application is referring to the actual school district. See picture for possible modification.

    SSID Import Results -
    Update the email results to include a list of SSID numbers in addition to the number of students who already had different SSIDs. This will help with identifying the existing SSID in Aeries

  15. Add custom dates and location assignment for user permissions

    It would be helpful to be able to enter custom stop and stop dates for users with site assignments for Clerical Substitutes. We often have subs work at many sites during the week, If we could preload their schedules of access prior to the day of assignment, it would help streamline a daily process while only providing access to the site they are working on during a given timeframe.

  17. Clarify Online Enrollment Confirmation Pages

    Currently there are two confirmation pages in online enrollment.
    The first confirmation page is for the parent to review/edit, then finish and submit.

    The second is the actual confirmation page with the print, log out, and enroll another student options.

    A small helpful change would be to just rename the first confirmation page "Finish and Submit" rather than what it currently is "Confirm"

    Primary Contact should be filled out by the parent at the time of enrollment. Please
    1. Add Primary Contact CON.PC to the Online Enrollment application for the parent to fill out
    OR
    2. Automatically set CON.PC to Y when a student is imported into Aeries from Online Enrollment, for the first Contact Record added to the Online Enrollment Application

  19. Add option to remove student id numbers from class rosters

    When printing the class roster for a substitute there is currently no option to remove the student id from the table. In the event a school uses the student's id number as their Aeries password, this would pose a security risk if another student was able to get their hands on this sheet.

  20. Birthday Listing Report Year Selector

    Birthday Listing Report - Add an option to specify year to run report. Currently if a month is past Ex: January 2025 and the report is run with the January month option after January 2025 it prints the future year (2026) month information.
