SUN Bucks 2025 eligibility changes mean that the Universal Benefits Application form needs to be accessible in Parent Data Confirmation process. CDE-UBA Form - https://www.cde.ca.gov/ls/nu/documents/uba2025-26.docx

There seems to still be some confusion, so we are clarifying out intended actions, as many comments added to this idea cover a wide variety of requests:
We are planning development during the current quarter to make specific upgrades to allow recording in Aeries which students were designated as Free or Reduced based on the UBA (and not the NSLP Application) via a new Source Code. Also, in the same way that districts can make the NSLP application available for download in the parent portal, a customized UBA could also be uploaded into the Parent Portal so they can access it to fill out.
The actual collecting of the UBA, analyzing the responses, assigning the status to a student, and conducting audits would…

Screening for Risk of Reading Difficulties required by Ed Code 53008
There is new annual Screening for Risk of Reading Difficulties program beginning in the 2025-56 school year for K-2 students. Part of the requirements are parent notification of Screener results. Aeries is planning development of a feature to facilitate this in our system. This will allow Districts to utilize the results of whatever Screener provider they choose to import into Aeries to allow administrators, teachers and parents to access the results, via the admin, teacher and parent portals.
More info can be found here: https://www.cde.ca.gov/ci/cl/index.asp

After researching the requirements for the Reading Difficulties Risk Screenings with the relevant CDE staff, we have determined that the best place to store the screener results wil be im the Program Screenings table. Although this was originally developed to use in Texas for similar Dyslexia Screenings, it is available to all our customers. It appears on the Special Programs page as a separate accordian. We will be creating a new fixed code (RDR) to use on that page, and a set of results ranging from Not Screened to whether a risk was found or not as a result of the screening. Development on this will be beginning shortly. Here is the current documentation on Program Screenings: Special Programs - Program Screenings.

In Flex, create a way to identify Sections with no Primary Teacher assigned
A general report for Flex Scheduling SMS and MST that will identify Sections without a Primary Teacher assigned.
And, if an SSE/SSM record is not present, the Teacher will appear as Teacher 0 (unassigned) so that the section will appear in Aeries Query & Reports.10 votesHello! It has come to our attention that this item was closed prematurely. We are working on creating a proper error report that looks at the MST table, now that the one for the SMS table was completed in April. This US will be updated as action proceeds on this portion.

CCGI - Upload CCGI Extract to CCGI via SFTP
One cool new option for your CCGI export, would be to enter the district's SFTP information into the export, and have the long running process automatically send to CCGI.

Edit the "Has this student previously attended a public school in California?" so that parents are aware Headstart and PreK not included
During the Language questionnaire portion of Online Enrollment, we noticed that parents of TK/K students would answer yes to "Has this student previously attended a public school in California" because the student attended HeadStart or PreK. That means they are not filling out the HLS and now we have to reach out to get them to fill it out. We could turn the feature off as a district, but we were hoping to utilize it for all other grade levels.

Allow Portal Options to be copied from one school to another.
Add an option to be able to copy Portal options from one school to another. This includes settings for Data Confirmation.
215 votesWe are in the process of separating the different types of portal options into phases so they can be developed and released in smaller increments. That will help us deliver them in stages, rather than waiting for the entire project to be finsihed & released all together.
