Emulate Parent in Online Enrollment
Our Enrollment Technicians would like the ability to emulate a parent in the Aeries Online Enrollment product so that they can see the errors parents are experiencing on their current steps to better assist them with the process.

Allow for a Report to be pulled for Pending Import students
Our secretaries have full access to Online Enrollment so they can import the students. Our principals would like view access so that they can monitor TK/Kinder enrollments during the Kinder enrollment period. Unfortunately you can not give just view rights so it would be helpful if the Principals could pull a report listing the Pending Import students. That way they can view and monitor without the ability to import.

Student Demographics - Add a new field for "Apartment #"
Student Demographics - Separate the Apartment Number from the address field, give it its own field. The new field will prevent discrepancies on data entry for unit/apartment numbers.

Add notes in Online Enrollment
The office staff refers to the Online Enrollment page to get an idea of how many are still pending import. They go through the list to call families. There is information collected when calling the families. It would be nice to be able to add notes for the pending import records so all stakeholders have access to that information such as if someone had already contacted the family or if there is any documentation still missing etc.

Mass Import Files to Student Documents
Requesting the ability to mass import files such as PDFs into Student Documents. The filenames would be the students' ID numbers. The import should match on student ID. The import should have the ability to mass populate dates, categories, subcategories, and related to fields as well as the ability to lock the records being imported.

Color Coding for Attendance Notes
With distance learning and teachers writing notes for student attendance, the attendance office notes are getting lost. We would like the ability to have a specific color assigned for attendance notes by the attendance office only and teachers to have their own color. This way if we need to locate a note immediately, we only have to look at specific notes. Right now, we can't distinguish them since they are all the same color. For example, attendance office notes could stay red and teacher note be blue.

Exclude record from SDEM flag for STF records
It would be ideal if there was a flag for excluding certain STF records from being pulled in SDEM files. We now have virtually all staff records in Aeries for ParentSquare, which we use for COVID daily screening, and we need a better way to exclude classified staff and sub teachers who have SEIDs. We have more of these than you might think, as many people got a SEID as a sub or they failed a credentialing program and now work in classified roles, like Instructional Assistants or Clerical staff. Absence Codes - Ability to Inactivate/Retire Codes
Because it is not recommended to delete codes for historical purposes, it would be great to have the ability to Inactivate/Retire Absence Codes. Especially with the current pandemic we may want to temporarily not use a code based on the type of learning occurring. It is easy to remove a code for teachers to access but office staff who have User accounts should have the ability to not see codes the district does not want them using. The Classroom Attendance pages needs to honor Inactive tags on Absence Codes.

CALPADS - LEAP Extract 2025/26 academic year
CALPADS announced a new LEAP extract file to be submitted for the Expanded Learning Program code 194. The LEAP extract will be part of the EOY submission beginning in 2025/26 school year. Aeries will create an extract process in CALPADS Extracts EOY tab. The file will be used to report the number of days a student participated in the Expanded Learning Program.

Display Primary teacher and a Co-teacher under Classes Schedule
For Flex Scheduling they would like it to display both teacher's names under Classes Schedule. The Primary teacher and the Co-teacher. If there's a way to indicate in the Classes table (for all Portals) to show the Primary teacher and non-primary teacher.

Option to View and/or Select multiple Student Documents instead of automatically downloading
For privacy reasons, all students docs should be viewable first before they are able to be downloaded, with an option to download multiple files if needed into a zip file. Right now Aeries automatically downloads documents. Entering data into the demographics or immunizations does not require a download, especially if you're doing this for thousands of students. Student and parent personal information should not be stored as files on our computers that we later need to go through and delete. It takes up storage and is tedious.

Non-Suit Reporting
We want to have a column on Aeries like attendance where we can mark students non-suits. Have the column linked to messages where when we mark the non suit it will automatically call and inform the parents similar to absences and tardy. Also, have it keep a running total of the non-suits so that the student, parent, teachers, and admin can view at any time.

Classes - Add the ability for Aeries to recognize a future change in scheduling
Currently, Aeries is programmed to treat all changes as immediate changes, regardless of an effective date. This does not work with how school staff efficiently process known changes. When a future schedule change is added to Aeries, the response from Aeries is to drop students from classes they are still in, and this wreaks havoc on attendance, grades, and reporting. We were told that Aeries is working as designed when it does this. If that is true, I respectfully request that you redesign this function. Allow authorizations to be targeted to specific grade levels in the same way documents can be. District have authorizations that are only relevant for specific grade levels.
