Classes - Add the ability for Aeries to recognize a future change in scheduling
Currently, Aeries is programmed to treat all changes as immediate changes, regardless of an effective date. This does not work with how school staff efficiently process known changes. When a future schedule change is added to Aeries, the response from Aeries is to drop students from classes they are still in, and this wreaks havoc on attendance, grades, and reporting. We were told that Aeries is working as designed when it does this. If that is true, I respectfully request that you redesign this function. It causes a lot of confusion for teachers and students and causes many staff countless wasted hours of additional work because his 'function' facilitates errors in attendance, grading, reporting, etc.

Currently, for a class to not display on a student schedule immediately, it is advised for users to make the change the day before it is set to go into effect. To allow for entering future classes, please add Effective Start Dates to the Classes page. This should also be honored on the Class Summary section of the Profile page rather than using Terms. It isn't efficient nor feasible for all class changes to wait until the day before to be entered into Aeries. Our Counselors can't do that. They DO add the effective end and start dates.
This needs to be fixed/reworked/reprogrammed. It's not conducive to seamless schedule changes and negatively impacts students, teachers, and counselors. It's simply not thoughtful of how schools actually work.

I have received multiple requests from my schools for this to be fixed. Counselors have to work during their breaks to update schedules for the new semester.
