Course Request Form Functionality Should Match Classes Form
Although a previous AeriesIdea request (Course Request page more like New Classes page from 2020) has now been listed as completed; the functionality of the CLASSES form has not been programmed for the Course Request Form (on Classes form, selecting the EDIT button on the banner above the course requests results in a "tile" view of all sections of all course requests, which allows a counselor to make changes while seeing available classes, class counts, etc.). Lockdown taking Attendance in an Emergency
We read a question on CITE regarding how to track where students are in the event of a lockdown. Attendance is not sufficient as students may have left the classroom to go to the bathroom, office, etc., or perhaps the lockdown occurred during a passing period/recess. In talking with my team, we feel we could build a lockdown attendance system within the confines of Aeries.

Quick view of Enrollment for Primary Students
For the sake of ADA and CALPADS, It would be nice if the number of students enrolled daily, found on the home page of each school site and district, would separate out the numbers by programs. It would be a quick view of total enrolled, absences, and tardies of students with only a primary enrollment. Currently our total district count includes concurrent students and it is not a clear reflection of our actual primary enrollment numbers.

Highlight both student and assignment rows when inputting grades.
Increase visibility and accuracy by not only highlighting the student whose grade is being entered like is already available, but also highlight the assignment you are putting in. This would create an easily identified intersection of student and assignment. Often when staring at the gradebook, your vision can get blurry, and this could help prevent mistakes.

Add Electronic Tag to Associated Teacher Records on Staff page
When you add an Associated Teacher Record on the Staff page in Aeries, it creates a TCH record for that teacher. You then have to navigate to the Teachers page to assign the Electronic tag (which is necessary for attendance taking and grades). The fact that you have to navigate to the teachers page kind of defeats the purpose of adding the Associated Teacher Records to the staff page. I recommend adding the Electronic tag to the Associated Teacher Records on the Staff page. Also, if this is done, maybe there can be logic set that will remove the Electronic…

Ability to limit individual student access to their portal account without affecting their parents
We've had problems with some of our overly anxious students constantly checking their grades via their portal account. I can restrict the student's access but doing so would also restrict the parent's access to the info. It would be great if I could take the grades away from just the student and not the whole group. Then they can check with their parent, once a week maybe, to check their progress and not obsess.

Querying Total Instructional Minutes
I wish the field for Total Instruction Minutes and Total Minutes in the Bell Schedule Table was a field you could query. The start time and the end time is a field you could query but not the total time

Add TB to Immunization Status Report
Please add TB to the Print Student Immunization Status Report. It will save our nurses a lot of time, as they have to query that out separately and run this report. Thank you for considering this idea.

EM2 Class Roster Filters Disappear When Cancel Button is Clicked
In some cases, clicking the Cancel button while viewing the Class Roster page on the EM2 app causes the filters (Teachers, Room, and Period) to disappear. Recaching is the only way to restore the filters. Please allow the filters to appear without having to recache.

Add the option to turn off flex period time in the Student Class Schedule report
Currently I can print this report and have them sorted by FTF.STI, flex period short title. Unfortunately the default bell's schedule times are printed on this report.
It is confusing to students and parents since we have quite a few bell schedules and the times are different than the default on our Minimum, Collaboration, Finals exam days.

Add Lunch Count option to Class Roster
It would be great if school sites could print the class roster for substitute teachers with lunch count option selected and the report has a small box to enter the number of lunches for that day.
Mostly a day substitute does not have access to Aeries. This would be helpful for our Cafeteria staff.3 votes -
Online Enrollment Supplemental Questions Translation
For Online Enrollment for Supplemental Questions . English, can hold up to 1024 characters, while the translation texts can hold 500 characters. We would like the translation text to hold as many characters as English.

Display the student's number of years in the English Learner program prominently
It would be really helpful for the teachers/Principals to see how many years a student has been in the English Learner program (in parenthesis) next to the Language Fluency LEP code so that they can work with students who are at risk of becoming LTEL.

Teacher App - Modify the Attendance screen to support Attendance Rulesets
In the Teacher App the extra attendance codes from the Attendance Rulesets are available to all teachers and all sections in the school rather than just the sections tagged with the ruleset.

Add Start Date on the General tab of Student Information Bar
It would be helpful to have the students start date as a viewable field on the General tab so when inputting things like FRE or special program records that date is readily available. This would eliminate the need to navigate away or open another tab and re-search the student.

Copy function for FRE records
It would be helpful to have a copy feature to easily copy all fields in a FRE record from one sibling to another.
