Parent Portal - Disable the Contacts update by parents outside of Data Confirmation
I read the aeries_talk yahoo listserv about the contact name disappears if only mailing name is used.
I shared it with my sites so that they will be sure to enter the last name and first name instead of just entering mailing name.I would like to suggest that the mailing name field is grayed out and not editable.
One of the sites contacted me to ask if parents can be doing the same thing when they update their contact info in Parent Portal.

Option to mark PDC "complete" for students
When students have restricted portal accounts, the parents are unable to complete the Contacts section of PDC. The students then remain on the Data Confirmation Status report as incomplete, even though the parent has completed everything they are able to in PDC. We would like the office to be able to mark the student as "Complete" that way they stop showing up on the report and we don't have to worry about the family getting multiple calls from people following up with them.

Gradebook Alerts for Parents and Students - Add Time Ranges
Allow a time ranges for Gradebook Alerts, in addition to the delay.
We would like parents/students to be alerted of Grade changes after school hours, this way it does not distract them from their current class, during the academic day.
We would like the alert options to have:
-- Delay 1 hour ( so teachers can complete grading )
-- Only alert during 5pm - 10pm & 5 am and 7am
-- Not alert during 10pm - 7am ( to allow for generally decent sleep schedule ).

Do not allow historical records to be edited - Security Enhancement
For historical information such as CNF and ADS, it would be nice to prevent changing records that were originally created in a prior year while logged into the current year. So in 2020, although I can scroll down and see CNF or ADS entries from 2019, 2018, etc., I would not be able to modify or delete them (based on date).

Transcript Definition - Add Reporting Home School Address
In Transcript Definition when selecting Reporting Home School under "Name Under Transcript Title" can the Reporting Home School address display as well.

Attendance Notes Report - Add Teacher and Date Options
Have the option to print Attendance Notes Report by teacher and also keep the limit by date so we can have those two options.

CALPADS - Allow users to select E150 mid-year exit reason in Attendance Enrollment and ENR and allow for XRF translation.
Request for the CALPADS student exit code E150 (program/grade change) to be added to Aeries. Allow users to select E150 mid-year exit reason in Attendance Enrollment and ENR and allow for XRF translation. Instead of the extract pulling the proper E150 code when the student has the program/grade change, it would be nice for users to be able to select the proper E150 when applicable. This would avoid confusion when E150 is referenced in CALPADS trainings or discussions.

Student Search - Display the State Student ID number on the Student Search to benefit those doing State Reporting.

Contacts - Add Authorized to Pick-Up Field
Add a field to the contacts form indicating who is authorized to pick-up the student. Not all contacts may have this permission and in the event of emergency, this information is very important.

We need a report to track the number of students actively participating in Distance Learning each day versus those not participating.

Mass Add Attendance Note - Add Comment
When mass updating the attendance notes, it would be helpful if the comment field could also be mass updated to capture any specific notes for the day. Currently, I can select a note to mass update and even type in the comment field, but the comment does not populate to all of the student records.

Contacts - ParentSquare Issue
Our District and Parents are struggling with ParentSquare.
The biggest pain-point is ParentSquare contact syncing from Aeries Contacts.
Background
ParentSquare’s ‘hidden’ logic will deny updates/changes if their is a matching phone or email for multiple contacts. Parents ( and our offices ) call confused since the data is in Aeries Contacts for a single student and looks correct. They have limited ability to self-solve this problem, since they are trying to jump through pages comparing each student record in a family.What we would like to see

Add Search Filter to Permissions Table
Rather than asking our users to do a CTRL+F to locate a permission table from the long list of permissions, consider adding a search filter so that the customer can quickly navigate to the table and apply the permissions.

View assignment scores from all students in linked gradebook
Please allow more integrating between linked gradebooks, so that teachers can see scores from ALL students on a particular assignment.
This helps with gauging understanding on a particular assignment, and entering late work from multiple class periods, and would allow uploading all grades for an assignment at once.

CALPADS - School Selection by User instead of District-Wide
When you have an Aeries district with multiple CDS codes, there are multiple people running the CALPADS extracts. The "Save" button changes the default selection for everyone! Every time an extract is run it changes the default schools for everyone else, and our CALPADS administrator has to deal with errors when they accidently leave a school checked that isn't theirs in the first place.

Teacher Portal - Option to Limit Available Schools without using the STJ record
Would like an option to not use STJ records when determining available schools for teacher logins. Create a way to limit available schools to TCH records, or Primary School, or SSM for Flex. Early on, STJ records may not have been updated for the new year and often reflect prior-year's school, giving teachers a school choice that they should not have in the current year.
