  1. Pre-Rollover Audit Report - Excel Version (not PDF version)

    Because of the need to sort the data in the Report, I opted to select the Excel version of the Report (in place of the PDF version). However, there are lots of problems with the Excel version.

    1. The data in the Excel version is formatted like the PDF version
    2. Like the PDF version, the data in the Excel version is divided into Pages
    3. The data in the Excel version includes empty columns inbetween columns with data -- (I counted 11 empty columns in my Report)

  2. Make students have to Opt in to Endorsements

    Currently, if an Endorsement has been created, students are automatically added when a student enrolls in or receives credits for a course that is required for an Endorsement. Students that do not want to participate in earning the endorsement have to opt out. Please reverse the process and instead make students have to opt-in to participate. This way only those participating in the program will see their progress on their Profile and Graduation Status Reports.

  3. In Permissions Table add Hover that displays table information

    When managing the Permissions, it would be very helpful to have a hover option that provides information on the table and it's impact in using Aeries. With so many tables, this is difficult to understand what all the permissions affect.

  5. Rollover Dashboard

    At times it felt like we were all over the place to complete not only the pre - rollover but also the rollover and the New School Year set up. In the Post rollover I found several comparison charts that helps to confirm the information was rolled correctly or to help find my errors such as the following;

    Table Record Counts
    Active Student By Grade
    Summary of Students

    Also there are several steps to starting the new year that could be added to a dashboard such as Calendar, Terms, Grading Periods, User, Staff…

  6. Permission start and stop dates/date range

    Would like to add non-year specific dates in permissions to allow and remove access to specific permissions.

    Example: User needs to run a change command once a year between June and July but shouldn't run at any other time.

    Would like to be able to set the permission to turn on the 2nd week of every June and close the 3rd week of every July.

  7. Enhance Attendance Submission Log and Missing Attendance Reports to include all Tracks in the Track option dropdown

    Attendance Submission Log and Missing Attendance reports only allow a user to select Tracks A-F or All Tracks. Please enhance this filter to include all Tracks as defined in School Options and the Code Table.

  9. Portal Document Groups under Update Code Table DCV.FG

    When creating Portal Document Groups under Update Code Table DCV.FG for the Code you can put in more than 3 characters, however, if you have more than 3 characters the documents will not save under the created Portal Document Group. You are able to move a document and it will show under the Portal Group name, however, once you refresh or navigate away and come back the document would go back to the top where it was. You should not be able to put in more than 3 characters if it will not work if you have more than 3…

  10. Online Enrollment - Parent Information page

    In Online Enrollment on Parent Information page the Mailing Name field auto adds a & if there are two parent/guardians listed at same mailing address. Add option to not add the & automatically to this field.

  11. Aeries Financials to add a Fee Cancel Option

    something similar to what Balance Adjustment does within adding a Payment, but called "Fee Cancelled" and is built-in similar to Balance Adjustment so users don't need to add manual codes for it.
    This would prevent it from showing as a separate payment record within reports and the UI, however allows users to keep a record of "this student was expected to pay this amount, but then we decided it was cancelled"

  12. Mark a Course Do Not Report

    Mark a course DO Not Report (via radio button) without changing the State Course Code. For example, grades K-6 Self-Contained, which CALPADS doesn't want to be reported with EOY 1.

  13. Attendance by Photo/Seating Chart - Make student fields visible

    Display student fields on the Attendance by Photo/Seating Chart page for the teacher without having to click the information icon to open up an addition window. It would be helpful to teachers to have the information visible as it is on the Attendance page. This could be a feature in Next Gen.

  14. Staff record- Cell phone field

    When editing a staff record, the edit window shows "mobile phone" and the display shows "Cell" could these be aligned so they show the same name to reduce confusion of what goes where?

  16. Make Online Enrollment Queue Editable

    It would be ideal if we could change items in the online enrollment queue such as academic year, grade, birthdate, etc. Parents make mistakes and there's no way to update the queue. We use this information in our enrollment projections and have to keep remembering when a record is displaying the wrong year or grade. It would also be good to be able to add a note next to the record (which is already another Aeries Idea).   17. Would like to be able to make schedules visible by grade level

    Our counselors would like to allow current students to see their schedules for next year, but not our pre-enrolled 8th graders who will be 9th graders next year. They don't want to make schedule changes for those students until just before school starts.
