  5. Scheduling Master/Master Schedule add customizable permission sets for different Staff Roles

    On the Scheduling Master and Master Schedule page, when a Section Staff is added and assigned as Primary Teacher, the permissions (Attendance Prm, Gradebook Prm, etc.) are automatically added (but can be changed).

    If a Section Staff is added who is not the Primary Teacher, can a customizable set of Permissions be added based on the Staff Role (SMS.SR/MST.SR)? Note that this could only work currently with the existing hard-coded Staff Roles, but that it would be nice if Staff Roles can ever be added, that the customer could input: "if this Staff Role, then these permissions."

  6. PFT - Physical Fitness Testing - Update Pass/Fail (without the submission) to confirm with PFT requirement to notify Parents of results

    Starting with the 21-22 results, PFT requires that parents receive their students' PFT - Physical Fitness Testing results. As such, can Aeries still provide a way to automatically update Pass/Fail without the submission information? (CDE PFT meeting 1/25/2023)

    Per the PFT Webinar on January 25th, 2023. According to CDE the LEAs are not required to send the PFT pass/not pass results or "Healthy Fitness Zones" to the parents. They do, however, need to report the raw scores to the students. The CDE said it would be an LEA's local decision to report the PFT scores to the parents. (also see item 6 under PFT Data in the CDE's Physical Fitness FAQ page

    The Fitnessgram uses proprietary calculations for the VO2max and the Healthy Fitness Zones. As such, Aeries cannot calculate the pass/not passed statuses for the individual test parts. LEA staff, however, are able to hand enter the pass/not pass test statuses for each student or run mass change queries on the PFT data to set the statuses.

    In Parent Square, allow parents to sign up for Weekly Grade notification. Currently offered in Portal, but parents cannot do this inside of app. Why do they need to go to 2 platforms?

    Hi Ali, Unfortunately, we won't be able to accept this request to allow users to control the weekly progress report emails through ParentSquare. Our integration with ParentSquare is not set up to handle this type of action. ParentSquare primarily serves as a communication platform, and facilitates that communication to various parties over a variety of configurable communication types, but ParentSquare never dictates what information comes out of Aeries.

  9. Combine Multiple Reports in One PDF

    It would appreciate the ability to combine multiple reports in one PDF or have access to a password to unlock the PDFs since the reports are all protected when they come out of the SIS.

    Allow teachers the ability to add a student's wellbeing status
    The students' Wellbeing Status can be viewed on the Teacher Attendance page, but they cannot enter information. It would be great if teachers could enter this information as part of the attendance process so parents and staff could visually monitor their student's progress throughout the day.

  15. Secondary SBG Report card term is set incorrectly when generating Report Card History

    When using secondary SBG report cards (and I assume GRD also), we populate the marking period header fields for the entire year (allowing space for the marks, even if there are only grades in the first marking period) so the report cards look consistent throughout the school year. With these headers populated, then when generating Report Card History, the "term" field is set to the value of the last marking period of the school year, along with the corresponding description. This is incorrect and confusing to students/parents. The term value should instead be based on the current marking period that…

  17. Filtering the Students with Double Periods Report

    As with any scheduling report, it's super helpful to be able to use a KEEP/SKIP statement to filter down. If honoring a KEEP/SKIP isn't possible, perhaps add a period filter to the report would help limit results.

  20. Mark Types should be unique to each school rather than district-owned values

    When the title or name of a mark type is changed, it is changed at all schools. This is a particular issue with the legend that prints on report cards. We use elementary SBG report cards at our K-4 school and secondary standards based report cards at our middle school - completely different grading scales and reports. And yet the Mark Types are shared! It doesn't make sense that Valid Marks are unique by school, but the Mark Types are district-owned.
