3. Analytics security permission change

   Currently, users with READ permissions to Analytics have the "Configs / Functions" menu item available. This should be removed for users with READ permission. We have noticed this is confusing for users and we don't want them to use this feature.

4. Attendance Note -- Allowing non attendance period teachers to add attendance note

   It would be helpful to allow non attendance period teachers to add attendance notes. Currently, these teachers get a message "Alert - Not Authorized to add nots t this Period/Section!". Our independent study schools are set up as daily period 1 attendance but students have different teachers for different periods. However, only period 1 teachers can add notes; others cannot.

7. Add an automated form of failover to a second source if our firewall is down

   Aeries can only be configured with a single LDAP server and does not currently have the capability to use a backup or failover LDAP server. If an outage occurs, the backup server would need to be manually adjusted. Add an automated form of failover to a second source if our firewall is down.

8. iReady Performance Level ranking needs to be flipped

   The performance levels that are pulled from iReady use descriptions and not numbers and when they are imported to Aeries, the test scores page shows numbers and I am assuming they are assigned by Aeries?
   So it seems level 1 is the highest and level 5 is the lowest. Can this be flipped around please? SBAC and ELPAC use level 1 as the lowest and level 5 as the highest and it was really confusing at first. It would be so much helpful if this can be consistent with the State Test score levels.

   p.s. I had submitted ticket #288638 for this previously. I had uploaded our district's test score files t the ticket.

    Teacher request - When I go to create a seating chart and then choose by photo, the students come up in alpha order by “ First “ name. Is there a way to change that to see students by photo in Last name alpha order so it matches our roster?

17. Unrelate staff record if record is closed and not for current year

    Currently, if a staff record contains any field entry for a school (whether closed or not) it will show up under that school as "related to that school."

    I.E. Staff member has a primary school (STF.PSC) of 223 and has an STJ record that has an end date in 2019 for school 221 (STJ.SCL) and a current year open STJ at school 223 (STJ.SCL). In the Staff listing, on the staff page with "Only records related to this school" checked, this staff member will show up in the list for school 223 AND 221 even though the 221 record is a couple years old and has an end date.

    I propose that if a staff member has a CLOSED STJ or STA from a prior year, that staff record is no longer related to the school(s) listed in the CLOSED STJ or STA. The staff member should only be related to current year and/or open STJ/STA for the School specified. In the above example, that would be 223

    P.S. We like to keep prior year STJ and STA records for historical data WITHOUT having to switch years.

18. Pre-Rollover Audit Report - Excel Version (not PDF version)

    Because of the need to sort the data in the Report, I opted to select the Excel version of the Report (in place of the PDF version). However, there are lots of problems with the Excel version.

    1. The data in the Excel version is formatted like the PDF version
    2. Like the PDF version, the data in the Excel version is divided into Pages
    3. The data in the Excel version includes empty columns inbetween columns with data -- (I counted 11 empty columns in my Report)
    4. The Status values in the Excel version are NOT under the Status column, instead they are in the next column on the right
    5. The NxtGrd values in the Excel version are NOT under the NxtGrd column, instead they are in the next column on the right
    6. The NxtSch column in the Excel version is populated with the # character, not with the school code values

    All of the above factors greatly hinder the benefits of the providing an Excel version of the Report. The benefits of the Excel version would be materialized if this version were formatted like a standard spreadsheet, i.e. a single body of data with contiguous column headers.
