Ability to translate Attendance Notes
It would be a incredibly helpful if the the attendance notes were able to get translated based on the parent/guardian corresponding language. When I attended AeriesCon, I was in the attendance session and nearly everybody in the class raised their hand when I suggested this to the mentor.

Allow Users in Section Staff Schools Access to the Grade Report Mark Analysis
After switching to Section Staff we took away rights to the teacher (TCH) table so teachers are not updated in that table any longer. Our users lost the ability to pull the Grade Report Mark Analysis report.

Non-Suit Reporting
We want to have a column on Aeries like attendance where we can mark students non-suits. Have the column linked to messages where when we mark the non suit it will automatically call and inform the parents similar to absences and tardy. Also, have it keep a running total of the non-suits so that the student, parent, teachers, and admin can view at any time.

Section Period Blocks in Flex Scheduling
Traditional scheduling has the Block field where you can specify a section meets across multiple periods. Yes in Flex you can create a period that spans the time frame of the class but that only gives you one opportunity to take attendance for that class, just once for that Flex period.
In our summer school they offer for credit classes that run all day and a student will only take one class. (This will show on their transcript) But the day is broken up with breaks where the students go outside, use the restroom, eat a snack, ect. The staff…

"Print Avery 5160 Labels" report - Add sort by grade option
I would like an option to sort by Grade Level on the "Print Avery 5160 Labels" report.
Our schools are currently querying to limit by a grade level and then running the report for each grade level with a student name sort. It would be much easier if they could choose to sort by grade level and have them all print out alphabetically within their respective grades.

Supplemental Attendance Report (CCLC/ASES and ASSETs) report - convert data to hours
As the state now requires CCLC/Assets data to be reported in hours, we would like to request that the Supplemental Attendance Report (CCLC/ASES and ASSETs) report calculate data in hours. Currently this report calculates by day.

Attendance Dashboard Option
I would like to see the attendance dashboard mirror the discipline dashboard to show the various codes used and the students who are associated with them. In the discipline dashboard, we can look at the violation code and be able to see which students have that code associated with them. It would be great to be able to have a correlating report in the attendance dashboard as well.

Highlighting inactive courses
When a course is marked as inactive to have the courses highlighted in yellow on the side bar like they are on the right side so it is easy to see all the inactive courses from a glance.

School Access (lack of) is not preventing user from viewing student's attendance
School Access should be honored by the Attendance page for concurrently enrolled students.

School Based Attendance Letters: create option so "Print All Parts for this ID" is chosen
From Spring AeriesCon 2024: provide an option to make "Print All Parts for this ID" be the only choice when printing school-based attendance letters. (Instead of allowing the users to choose all or part 1, 2, 3 from the dropdown.) The choice is confusing to their school staff, who are choosing 1, then 2, then 3.

CALPADS Data Validations
Due to the new CALPADS Post Process Redevelopment, Data Validations are needed in Aeries before the file is submitted to CALPADS. A file can only post if it passes all input validations. If a file has 1 error, the entire file will reject. The file extract process will take care of the bulk of these file format validations, but cross-field and/or valid code combination errors may still occur. New validations need to be added to the default set for these types of errors.

Ability to set "Before" and "After" times for Secondary ADA in order to create a window for attendance taking
We need the ability to set a window for our afternoon Elementary school teachers to take attendance just like the morning teachers do. In Portal Options, there is a setting to enter how many minutes "before" and how many minutes "after" the Primary ADA time to limit attendance taking but there is no way to do the same for the Secondary ADA time.

Attendance code "blocking"
Is there a way to prevent Independent Study codes from being entered on other programs and regular program codes from being entered on Independent study program? Many times the attendance clerks forget to dis-enroll from regular program and enroll in IS and place the IS codes on regular program. If the system wouldn't allow IS codes to be used outside of the IS program it would prevent errors.

Subject AB 1266 Transgender rights
With AB 1266 and transgender student privacy, we are running into issues with confidentiality in Aeries. For example, a female transgender student wants to go by their preferred name and not share with a legal parent/guardian. However, when the preferred name is entered in Aeries as well as the legal name, the preferred name is showing up on all parent communication and parent portal.
Can we find a way to have the preferred name listed on all?
