Remove the N/A's that clutter the screen when information is hidden from the users
Just wanted to share a random thought about something I encountered yesterday. The screen below is from the parent portal. My understanding of N/A is "not applicable" which usually means "doesn't apply to me". When we build reporting or screens for a user, we leave areas blank if they are not allowed to see it....or don't show the field at all. On this screen, it seems like it is being used to indicate fields that the user is not able to see. A user has to look past/through all of the N/A's to find the relevant information. It would be…

Mark a Course Do Not Report
Mark a course DO Not Report (via radio button) without changing the State Course Code. For example, grades K-6 Self-Contained, which CALPADS doesn't want to be reported with EOY 1.

Highlight both student and assignment rows when inputting grades.
Increase visibility and accuracy by not only highlighting the student whose grade is being entered like is already available, but also highlight the assignment you are putting in. This would create an easily identified intersection of student and assignment. Often when staring at the gradebook, your vision can get blurry, and this could help prevent mistakes.

Allow teachers to add new records to the visitation page from the teacher app.

A double click is now needed to enter an attendance code in a period that a teacher has marked an absence
A double click is now needed to change an attendance code where there is an absence marked by a teacher, which is frequently the case. Combined with the new requirement to click "Enter", this adds two extra steps to each code entered. I would like to see this go back to the way that it was. These extra steps require a lot of extra time. My position was already overloaded before these added steps.

Post-Secondary Survey - Push and Pull
Automation: Please work on an automated system in which the PSTS survey questions could be administered/pushed out from within Aeries, a configuration that would identify the eligible students, send the questions/survey to the student's contacts/email, and in turn, would return those responses into the appropriate fields in Aeries "Add/Edit Post-Secondary Survey."
Aeries definitely have the extract part down! This would be a great enhancement~
TopsPro Enterprise/CASAS has a function built into their SIS that does all this for the end-user and it is really, really nice!

Electronic Signature - Student Documents
We would like a Electronic Signature feature that we could link to:
-- Current Student Document
-- Aeries Form / PageMore Background
Our District Our schools use the Student Documents ( StudentDocuments.aspx ) area in Aeries to maintain 504 documents.Our staff has been using third party tools to digitally send the documents to the parents to sign and return and then they re-upload another copy to Student Documents.
If Aeries had a form "Signature Contracts" that we could link to an Aeries form and Student Document, we can then send it to the parent ( similar to Independent…

Portal documents organization
Make it easier to organize / edit portal documents. Right now, the icons are large and difficult to drag and drop. Being able to select multiple docs to move to a folder would be great. Having an easy way to identify district files vs school specific files would be helpful too.

Add option to filter for school site only to appear in Staff Search drop-downs
If district staff appear in dropdowns, the STF.PSC is the district (school 0). There is no way to turn off displaying of District staff members. Please add option to allow for filter in dropdown to choose school site only and hide District staff. This could affect ADS Referrer field, Student Demographics Counselor fields, District Assets and other areas. They all work the same currently.

Ability to limit individual student access to their portal account without affecting their parents
We've had problems with some of our overly anxious students constantly checking their grades via their portal account. I can restrict the student's access but doing so would also restrict the parent's access to the info. It would be great if I could take the grades away from just the student and not the whole group. Then they can check with their parent, once a week maybe, to check their progress and not obsess.

Attendance Notes - Allow Uploading Documents
We have the ability to add notes to attendance, it would be helpful to add an upload feature for Dr notes and such. We are currently having our parents email us pictures of documents instead of handling paper. The system is working well with our parents, it would be great if we could then attach the picture directly to the Notes in attendance.

Create a report for Readmit slips and off Campus Passes issued
We would like to be able to run a report for a given day that shows the Readmit slips and Off Campus passes issued that includes student and class information. Then we can check in with teachers to be sure the students actually returned to class as they should.

Add logic to Report Card History so that only students enrolled during the specified term (under report card options) have report cards created.
