Attendance Note Sort Order
It would be helpful if we could have options to sort on the period or ATN.CD. This would be a big help for our Attendance Clerks now that we are allowing teachers to submit notes for SB 98 attendance accounting.

Master Schedule Section Numbers
With all the cohort groups and scheduling requirements and creating new sections, we are running into section numbers that are 5 digits. However, the locators show only 4 digits. Can we have the locators show the whole section number. When the table allows 5 digits, the locator should show all the digits.

OneRoster - Option for Staff in Sections
It would be great if one of the options presented for staff in sections could be "oneroster."
If a staff member has been added to a section for online zoom moderation/attendance or for contact tracing in person, those staff don't necessarily need to be added to oneroster exports for curriculum access. It would be nice to not have those extra staff added to rosters.

Weekly Engagement Report - Include Class Calendar Filter
On the weekly engagement report, flex periods and section numbers are listed, but most of us use the combination of flex period and class calendar to identify sections. If the class calendar could be included in the filter box, this interface would be much more user friendly!

Class Calendars and Flex Periods - Set the Schedule by Grade Level
It would be really nice to allow Class Calendar and Flex period setup by grade level for schools that run different schedules by grade. Right now, on the Classes page, All Flex periods display in the "show available periods" view. It would be nice to only have the flex periods applicable to that student display on that page.

Multi-School Section that holds students from different schools.
It'd be cool to have a section that spans across the district(since courses are already) which can hold different students from different schools in one section owned by either the homeschool of the teacher or the district.
This way teachers who teach one section/curriculum to a group of students across the district can all be linked together for third party integration purposes.
Another great reason is for distance learners who are across the district under specific teachers. They all have the same "class" under the same teacher but have to be from different schools and the master schedule has to…

Google meet generates attendance reports for every period. We should ask Aeries to integrate these reports to take roll.

Identify the LCAP extended fields in query
Per Training Team, it is difficult to identify the LCAP extended field values from others when selecting them for a query. Consider identifying the LCAP extended fields in some way on the query page for ease of use.

Update Import Gradebook Scores process to remove STU_ from the beginning of the ID# field
When our other programs connect with Aeries through API or OneRoster API they see the Student ID field as STU#######. When importing assignment score files in to their gradebook, teachers have to run an update in excel to remove the "STU" from the ID field so that Aeries will recognize the ID #. It would be great if during the import process you automatically removed "STU_" as leading characters from any ID if they exist. This would save teachers the added manual step and prevent user error.

Add option to send English translation in addition to translated copy for letters/reports sent to parent/guardian
Add an option to include the English copy along with translated copy, for reports/letters sent to parent/guardian. EdCode 48985 requires English copy and primary language copy to be sent to parent/guardian, if 15% or more of pupils speak a primary language other than English.

Change the default time on Aeries Data Validation to not coincide with Aeries Analytics
From October 2020 Conference Session 973-1 - Intro to Data Validations discussion.
A talk by James Lancaster and Hannah RhinebeckOn the recommendation from this talk, the presenters noted the time for Validations to run is midnight which is the same time as Analytics and so the recommendation was for districts to change the default time for validations. Would it not be easier for Aeries to change the default time for all districts? This would ensure to not tax the system should a district not go in to change the default time.

No Show Form - defaulting date when previously E155
Have the No Show Form default to the previous year's last day of school date for students that ended the previous year in the current school as active instead of the configured No Show Default date.
This behavior would align with the No Show Guidelines chart, since these students would have an E155 submitted.

Mid Year Scheduling when Section Staff is enabled - Copy SSE to SSM
In a school using section staff, allow Scheduling setup ability to roll the MST/SEC back to SMS/SSS and include copying SSE to SSM (Section Staff). Currently, the Section Staff does not get copied during this process.
When the Scheduling Window is open mid-year:
A section is created in MST, an associated record is also created in SMS
Please include the Associated SSM record that corresponds to the SSE record created for that section.1 vote -
Teacher Portal - Enhance Assignment Filter
The Assignment filter for the briefcase opens in a little pop-up window at the top of the webpage. So every time you want to change the filter it moves you to the top of the webpage and you end up scrolling back down the webpage to see what you have selected. You can drag the filter down to the briefcase area in Chrome, but it automatically closes after you hit go. Teacher portal - Link to Assignments to Calendar
In the teacher portal, it would be nice if teachers could automatically add assignments to their calendar. There could be an assignment category in the calendar, so they could be filtered if the teacher didn't want to see them. Or maybe there could be a box on each assignment so that teachers could choose which assignments that wanted to add to their calendar if they want.

Add Date Masking on Classes Page
On the Classes page, when in edit mode, add the masking to the date field so that customers do not have to add the slashes when adding/editing classes.

Add a Reset Button to Analytics Dashboard Items
When on a dashboard and the user begins to drill down on various filters, add a button to reset the dashboard to the original dashboard configuration.
