  1. Weekly Progress Emails — Add Option to Exclude Inactive Sections

    What is happening now:
    When a district deactivates a section mid-year, students linked to gradebooks tied to that section stop receiving all weekly progress report emails — including for their active courses. The email process does not check section status in MST or the student's current CAR records, and fails when it cannot retrieve Flex Period Start/End times for an inactive section. The only fix today requires a direct SQL update to the GBU table, which has no UI edit path.

    Why this matters:
    Parents receive progress emails for one child but not another with no explanation. Districts with 100+…
