For the 2024–2025 California School Dashboard, CDE introduced new AP pathways for the College/Career Indicator (CCI), including AP course‑based and combined course/exam options. The CCI Student Summary currently evaluates AP readiness using AP exam results only. This request is to support the updated AP pathways so student CCI status is accurately reflected.

3rd Party System Connections: Notify Administrators That USPS Address Validation Requires a Paid Subscription
What is being requested
The info banner on the USPS Address Verification section of the 3rd Party System Connections page should be updated to notify administrators that a paid USPS subscription is required for address validation to function. The banner currently only prompts users to register for a Consumer Key without indicating that a subscription fee is involved. Why this matters
USPS retired its free Addressing API and replaced it with a paid subscription model. Districts that have not completed the USPS sign-up process will find that address validation does not function in Aeries. Without a clear notice on this…7 votes -

Import Test Results - Update i-Ready import to support Reading Spanish Diagnostic Results Export
The Import Test Results page is currently programmed to support only the Diagnostic Results layout, which includes a single comma-separated (.csv) file for English results and another for Math results.
Please add programming support for the new Reading Spanish layout to allow importing Spanish Lexile scores for assessment of Spanish reading proficiency.
Important Note: While the current mapping similarities in the headers allow the new Reading Spanish file to post, this often results in incorrect subject associations and data inconsistencies.27 votes -

Restrict Calendar Modifications Post-Attendance Initialization
Currently, users are able to bypass system warnings and proceed with Calendar changes even after attendance has been initialized for the academic year. This behavior creates inaccuracies in pre-existing attendance data.
To safeguard data integrity, please enhance the system to strictly prevent any modifications to Calendar dates once attendance has been initialized. This restriction will ensure that critical attendance data remains accurate and consistent throughout the year.29 votes -

Aeries REST API: paginated retrieval on the Contacts endpoint for high-volume districts
The Aeries REST API returns correct data, but the Contacts endpoint returns every contact record for a school in a single response. Because the API works as designed, this is an enhancement request rather than a defect.
What is happening now: At high-volume districts, a single large school can return tens of thousands of contact records in one response, which strains memory and slows third-party synchronization.
What would help: Allow the Contacts endpoint to accept StartingRecord and EndingRecord parameters, the same way the Students endpoint already does, so callers can retrieve contacts in bounded ranges instead of one oversized response.…

Add field-level API security control for Student Health Problems (STU.HP)
STU.HP is returned by the Aeries API v5 Student GET endpoints with no way to restrict vendor access. Add a "Student Health Notes (STU.HP)" option to Third-Party Authorization security areas so districts can explicitly grant or revoke vendor access, and withhold the field by default until granted.

At-Risk Nightly Update Process Using Incorrect Date for Program 409 At-Risk Record for Student Truancy
When the At-Risk Nightly Update Process is enabled and evaluates students for At-Risk indicator of Truancy, the Student At-Risk Indicator and the Program 409 record are populated with date the nightly update process is run. If the Truancy Date Met is prior to the date the process is run, the Student At-Risk Indicator and Program 409 records do not reflect the correct date when the student met the definition of Truant. The nightly update process will be updated to use the Truancy Date Met as the start date for the Student At-Risk Indicator and Program 409 At-Risk records.

We have some courses that do not receive a FIN AVG, such as SOLL, dual credit at secondary (SEM ONLY), and Music, Art, and PE at elementary (which use letter grades). What if there were an exclusion code that would be added to the MST to exclude it from the FIN AVG calculation? This will prevent the missing grade reports and queries from showing these courses.

Improve Student Search Consistency When Names Contain Special Characters
Student Search should handle special characters (such as hyphens, apostrophes, commas, and accent marks) consistently across all name‑based searches. Currently, results can vary depending on how a name is entered and where special characters appear, which may make it harder for users to locate students. This enhancement would improve search consistency and usability by making results more predictable when special characters are present.

Mark Contacts Confidential From Other Contacts
We need the ability to mark specific contacts as confidential and hide their contact information (name, phone, email, address) from other Parent Portal users, including biological parents who retain educational rights. This is critical for students in foster care, where a parent may legally access grades and attendance but is not permitted to know the foster placement details. Currently, entering foster parent contact information exposes it to the educational rights holder, preventing us from creating appropriate portal access for foster parents and ParentSquare. A role-based or contact-level confidentiality setting would allow foster parents to access necessary information without disclosing their…

Block/stop sending pre-enrolled students grade alert thresholds to ParentSquare
Students who are pre-enrolled and also currently enrolled in our district are having duplicate assessment thresholds sent to parents- one for their current site, and another for the pre-enrolled site. Aeries is creating and sending two request ID's to ParentSquare to trigger the notifications for any thresholds created by parents resulting in a duplicate alert. Aeries should NOT be sending requests for alerts to ParentSquare for sites the student is pre-enrolled at. The only workaround floated was to block the * tag on the ParentSquare end but doing so we would not be able to send communications to pre-enrolled students…
