CERS Student Groups - Add API Functionality to Scheduled Import

Now that the Scheduled Process is working, please enable the extracts to be sent directly to TOMS via the API feature.

Hello, this idea has been completed in the 02/22/2024 update. If you wish to have the API feature enabled please contact Aeries Support and request to have the CERS API Feature Flag turned on.

Development work on this update has been paused until Quarter 2.

However, If you wish to have the API feature enabled please contact Aeries Support and request to have the CERS API Feature Flag turned on.

This feature has completed the testing phase and is scheduled to be released this Thursday (2/22/2024).

We are still testing the CERS API upload with two specific districts to test on their live data. Currently we are working through an issue with the files not uploading to CERS consistently. Thank you for your patience.

The API integration between the CERS Student Groups extract in Aeries and the CERS system is not available in Aeries yet, but we wanted to give you more information about where we are in the development process.

We are testing the CERS API upload with two specific districts to test on their live data. We need to perform this two-step acceptance testing because we do not have a test site in the CERS system to test the upload, it must be tested on live data. Currently we are working through an issue with the files not uploading to CERS. Once the BETA testing districts let us know that the API is successfully adding/updating the student groups in the CERS system we will be able to release the update to all of our customers.

In the meantime please continue to use the scheduled process to automatically create the files and then manually upload them into CERS.

@Kathy Kelly, the CAASPP website says that the CERS groups will automatically transfer directly from Aeries to CERS. Is that true? If so, what do we have to do to have that feature enabled?

I sent a help ticket last week and I was told that the I would need to manually upload the CERS extract file. I'm reading the note above that is dated 12/2/21 and it states that the Scheduled process is working and we can enable the extracts to be sent directly to TOMS via the API feature. Did I miss an update?
