The Classes page sorts by class meeting time. Would like to be able to organize this so it would order by time and Class Calendar

Assign TAs only to certain Flex Periods
When assigning Teachers' Aides (TAs), we only allow teachers to have a certain number of TAs, usually the first couple of periods.
Can Aeries give us an option to choose which periods to assign TAs to and if possible which teachers to have which periods.

The Scheduling Reject Analysis Listing report when using Flex Scheduling no longer provides the same information as it did in Traditional Scheduling. The Scheduling Reject Analysis Listing Report used to show which periods were in conflict or full but that option is no longer available, now it is just a list of classes without telling us which class or period it conflicts with. This information is extremely helpful to have in the actual report instead of having to look up each individual student to see where the conflict is, which is what we are having to do right now. Can…

Add Class Link to Flex SMS Board
Class links are a fantastic feature for easily scheduling students into linked classes. However, linking classes together is not easy since it is currently only done through the SMS (or MST) page, typically after the schedule has already been created.
Please add the Class Link field to the SMS Board so that the links can be applied as staff are building schedules initially.

The status has been modified from "Started" to "No Status" so that the idea can continue to receive votes.
An upcoming release will include a visual enhancement to the Flex SMS Board that will display sections with a Class Link value.

Class Calendars: reduce permissions needed for Push and Copy (currently only Admins)
On the Class Calendars page, an Admin user can Copy Class Calendars within a school or Push Class Calendars to other schools. Please change these permissions so that Copy and Push can be done by a User who is not an Admin.

Class Calendar label: standardize (always call it the same shortened name)
On various pages and reports, the column for the Class Calendar uses different labels. Examples: Scheduling Master Schedule Details report: Days. Class Load Analysis and Locator Cards reports: Calendar. Course Requests: Meets. I think it should always use the same label. Suggestions: Days, CCal, ClCal?

Add the option to turn off flex period time in the Student Class Schedule report
Currently I can print this report and have them sorted by FTF.STI, flex period short title. Unfortunately the default bell's schedule times are printed on this report.
It is confusing to students and parents since we have quite a few bell schedules and the times are different than the default on our Minimum, Collaboration, Finals exam days.

Add the option to sort and print the Student Locator Card by the flex period# (FTF.STI) instead of start time
Allowing the option to sort and print the student locator card and by FTF.STI (flex period short title) instead of the flex period time. The student locator card sorted by the time is then not sorted by the short title and is not in order and confuses students and parents.
This is because my sites have 1,2,3 as A-Day and 4,5,6 as B-Day and the time span is exactly the same. I have attached screenshots as examples.

Sort MST Board & Flex SMS Board & Classes page headers by the flex period # instead of flex period time
Can we add an option to sort the display of the MST board & Flex SMS Board and Classes page by the flex period # instead of the flex period time? My sites are used to seeing the display by period#, and the display by time confuses them, especially when they have paired the periods i.e. 1 & 4, 2 & 5, 3 & 6 have the same start and end times, and 1,2,3 are on A-Day and 4,5,6 are on B-Day.

Create a Flex Pass for student rewards and opportunities
We are looking at ways to create study halls within our schedule (flex period). A time for make up or enhancement. Those with a 3.0 GPA or no homework would get to go to lunch 10 minutes early. They had great success as most kids wanted to go to lunch early so they got grades up and did their homework.
Could we create a FLEX PASS link on Aerie’s? If a student had no missing assignments or above a certain GPA they could click a link on their account and a FLEX PASS would pop up. It could link to…2 votes -
Printing report "Print students absent today" in Flex schools
Before Flex Scheduling, it would list which individual periods in which a student was marked absent, now it just lists a total. Need the format of the report like before but with flex scheduling?

Flex Scheduling - Allow an Easier way to Transfer Students and Gradebooks to new Sections and Teachers
It was easier to transfer students/gradebooks to new sections/teachers using the "old" scheduling method. Please create a way for users to complete this process if they choose not to change the Primary Teacher in the current section. There should be an easy way to do this, similar to Aeries Classic.

Flex Scheduling - Create Section Number Based on Flex Period
In non-flex scheduling, when creating SMS/MST sections the first number of a section automatically corresponded to the period during which the section was held, based on a School Option. Now when creating sections in Flex Scheduling the section number automatically starts with the number 1 and we need to manually adjust the section number so that it corresponds to the correct period. May we please request that feature be included in Flex Scheduling?

Student Withdrawal Form - Sort Classes by Flex Period
Sort classes by Flex Period on Student Withdrawal Form, right now it sorts by Sections.

In FLEX schools, Mass Change Period Abs. no longer inserts a note if the student does not have a class scheduled during the affected period.
We would like to request that Flex Scheduling Attendance Notes work the same as a non-flex school in the following regard:
In a FLEX environment, Mass Change Period Absences no longer inserts a note if the student does not have a class scheduled during the affected period, which was useful information to have.
In a NON Flex environment, the note adds to all students no matter if a student has a class scheduled or not, during the affected period.5 votes
