Automated days in Class Calendars for Flex Scheduling
When we create a Class Calendar for Flex scheduling, for example MTWF, it would be wonderful if Aeries could do the rest and we not have to click a little check box for every day of the school year that class will be in session. If we have already created the overall School Calendar and we create a Class Calendar for MTWF and assign it to a section, then Aeries would already have the info needed to determine the days that section is in session and needs attendance. Course Request Form Functionality Should Match Classes Form
Although a previous AeriesIdea request (Course Request page more like New Classes page from 2020) has now been listed as completed; the functionality of the CLASSES form has not been programmed for the Course Request Form (on Classes form, selecting the EDIT button on the banner above the course requests results in a "tile" view of all sections of all course requests, which allows a counselor to make changes while seeing available classes, class counts, etc.). Handling Course Requests for leaving students
In order to manage Course Requests for students at the end of the year that we know will not be returning (but have already entered Course Requests), it would be helpful for either:
1) When/if changing the STU.NS to 999, have a subsequent popup asking if you would like to delete all SSS records
OR
2) If STU.NS = 999, the SMS mass scheduling process should ignore or reject any SSS records related to that student
This would be in the scenario you are using SMS to schedule for a future DB year and will help not having these students…

Course Request page - Add the ability to display courses in the search by LOC grade range or add a filter to the search
On the Course Request page, please add the ability to display courses in the search by LOC grade range or add a filter to the search field. Example: Grade range 4-6 will display courses with a 9-12 grade range.

Need Student Scheduling Group for Next Year
Trying to schedule for next year and current scheduling groups are causing a conflict, as there will be new groups next year.
Currently STU.SG is designed to be used in Scheduling, but have been using it to reflect what actually is in MST.
Need to separate the functioning by adding a new field (STU.MG) to use with Master Schedule functions, and leave STU.SG to function solely with Scheduling tables.

Please add support or an option to copy Course Requests to Classes during the Copy Scheduling Results to MST process for students tagged with a Pre-enrolled Status tag.

Master Schedule Section Numbers
With all the cohort groups and scheduling requirements and creating new sections, we are running into section numbers that are 5 digits. However, the locators show only 4 digits. Can we have the locators show the whole section number. When the table allows 5 digits, the locator should show all the digits.

Multi-School Section that holds students from different schools.
It'd be cool to have a section that spans across the district(since courses are already) which can hold different students from different schools in one section owned by either the homeschool of the teacher or the district.
This way teachers who teach one section/curriculum to a group of students across the district can all be linked together for third party integration purposes.
Another great reason is for distance learners who are across the district under specific teachers. They all have the same "class" under the same teacher but have to be from different schools and the master schedule has to…

Master Schedule - Add Section Name
It would be useful to us to be able to have a "Section Name" field that could display in certain places, instead of section numbers or flex period + class calendar. This would be super helpful for teachers using gradebook, especially now that Flex Scheduling makes it so much harder for students and teachers to read their schedules. and (at least for us) gradebook so often needs to have multiple sections attached to a single class.

Parent/Student Portal Class Summary - Show Days Taught
Show the days of the week that a class section is taught in the Class Summary within the Parent/Student Portal. Also base this on Course Attendance, not the "Classes" page, since a student may change classes in the future and the Classes page updates immediately.

Scheduling Course Request Tally report should display 10 grade levels
The Scheduling Course Request Tally report displays a maximum of nine grade levels, but a TK - 8 school has ten grade levels, so the TK grade is left off the report.

Master Schedule, Split Term field needs to be locked down.
Master Schedule, Split Term (MST.DY) field needs to give a warning when changes are made and SEC/CAR records exist. Or the field should be read only like PD, BL, SM, TN and CN.

When running with Keep/Skip, student scheduling exclusions are not honored for existing students in class.
When running the scheduler with “keep/skip” (to balance genders for example) the scheduler does not appear to honor scheduling exclusions unless the students are scheduled at the same time.

COVID - SMS - Planning Options
Our schools are requesting different options for SMS Scheduling that can be loaded/planned on the fly.
Since we do not know what the future will bring, our schools need to plan in SMS for
Plan A ( on-campus 'traditional' scheduling )
Plan B ( on-campus limited classroom attendance 'social distancing )
Plan C ( Distance-Learning remote-campus scheduling )
Plan ..?Currently they are creating a schedule, saving it, wiping SMS and re-building or the different options.
If there is a way to make this easier, it would be greatly appreciated.

Allow "Next School" to determine course request offerings.
Currently, course request offerings are determined by the student's current school. This does not work well in cases where the students are moving across a school grade level boundary. In casess where there is not a 1:1 relationship between feeder schools and next schools, students have to use generic course requests, if they can use them at all.
