Screening for Risk of Reading Difficulties required by Ed Code 53008
There is new annual Screening for Risk of Reading Difficulties program beginning in the 2025-56 school year for K-2 students. Part of the requirements are parent notification of Screener results. Aeries is planning development of a feature to facilitate this in our system. This will allow Districts to utilize the results of whatever Screener provider they choose to import into Aeries to allow administrators, teachers and parents to access the results, via the admin, teacher and parent portals.

- View All Reports > Student Data > Missing Risk of Reading Difficulties Screening: Added a new report for California schools to identify K–2 students missing a Risk of Reading Difficulties screening (PGR) in the current school year, supporting compliance with California Education Code Section 53008. Report options include grade level filter (All, K, 1, 2), enrollment date range, and an option to include students who opted out. Requires Read access to the PGR table.
