Screening for Risk of Reading Difficulties required by Ed Code 53008
There is new annual Screening for Risk of Reading Difficulties program beginning in the 2025-56 school year for K-2 students. Part of the requirements are parent notification of Screener results. Aeries is planning development of a feature to facilitate this in our system. This will allow Districts to utilize the results of whatever Screener provider they choose to import into Aeries to allow administrators, teachers and parents to access the results, via the admin, teacher and parent portals.

Hello, this work item has been completed and was released on 10/21/2025. Here are the relevant revision notes:
- Student Data > Programs > Special Programs: The Screenings tab has been enhanced to allow tracking of the newly required Risk of Reading Difficulties Screenings for students in Kdg-2nd grade. The enhancements include separate screening codes for each grade level, indicators of screening results and Reason codes for waivers. Future development will include adding reports to help manage this feature. See RRDS document and Special Programs document.
