Add Electronic Signatures to Online Enrollment and Parent Data Confirmation

Hello, this work item to allow schools to collect e-Signature from parents during the Parent Data Confirmation process has been released on 05/27/25. Here are the relevant revision notes:

  • Portal Management > Portal Options > Parent Data Changing: An option has been added to Parent Data Confirmation page under the General Tab to Enable Parent e-Signatures. 
  • Adjust Final confirmation step to capture Parent e-Signature for PDC if the option is set to TRUE in portal options. 
  • When the parent e-signature option is enabled for Parent Data Confirmation, printing the Student Emergency Card during the final confirmation step will now include the parent e-signature name, date and time in the signature line. 
  • Add Account ID (AID) and Signatory Name (NM) fields to capture PDC Parent e-Signature on the Information Confirmation Log (ICL) table.
  • Data Confirmation Log: When the Parent e-Signature option for Parent Data Confirmation is enabled, a View Signature button will now display for the Final Data Confirmation record allowing the user to view the e-signature information entered by the parent.

We are starting on development to enable e-Signatures for Online Enrollment, so this UV item will remain open until that features is released.

    This is critical and can be used for the Home Language Survey as we were told by CDE it requires a signature and not a check box agreement or date/time stamp.

    We need this for processing emergency contact cards to alleviate the bottleneck of printing and signing documents during the enrollment process.

    Still wondering if this will be implemented before our back to school fair this summer. Any updates??

    Still hoping this will happen. Or least just an approval button rather than a print button. We hold a data confirmation fair and parents are held up for a lengthy amount of time just waiting for their printed emergency card. We get super backed up with these print jobs.
