Calpads Extract - State Course Code TCH.CB vs Course when a teacher's class setting changes to self contained
It would be extremely helpful to allow the Calpads Extract to look at TCH.CB only when it is filled versus the Course - State Course Code Assigned. An example of when this is useful is the case when the school year has started and the classroom setting is forced to go into a self-contained setting vs departmentalized setting.
For Fall 2 reporting and assignment monitor, this would allow us to adjust the course code to reflect the staff setting. In turn, this would allow for us to cut down on our Calpads error reporting.

Exclude record from SDEM flag for STF records
It would be ideal if there was a flag for excluding certain STF records from being pulled in SDEM files. We now have virtually all staff records in Aeries for ParentSquare, which we use for COVID daily screening, and we need a better way to exclude classified staff and sub teachers who have SEIDs. We have more of these than you might think, as many people got a SEID as a sub or they failed a credentialing program and now work in classified roles, like Instructional Assistants or Clerical staff. Post-Secondary Survey - Push and Pull
Automation: Please work on an automated system in which the PSTS survey questions could be administered/pushed out from within Aeries, a configuration that would identify the eligible students, send the questions/survey to the student's contacts/email, and in turn, would return those responses into the appropriate fields in Aeries "Add/Edit Post-Secondary Survey."
Aeries definitely have the extract part down! This would be a great enhancement~
TopsPro Enterprise/CASAS has a function built into their SIS that does all this for the end-user and it is really, really nice!

Update the auto-creation process for SPRG Code 185-TK program records to verify the grade level
Update the auto-creation process for SPRG Code 185-TK program records to verify the grade level of the actual ENR records to determine the start date of the TK program record, if it changed after the beginning of the student's enrollment record that year. The SPRG TK record should start as of the first day of TK enrollment for the school year.

CALPADS Extract Pull From LSI.GN
Can we please have the extract pull from the LSI.GN field if the student has data populated in that field? It makes sense to extract from that field, particularly since if the LIS.LLN and LSI.LFN is populated that data gets extracted. We have a student (and surely more to come) that identify as a different gender. Populating the STU.GN with the students preferred gender is causing CALPADS fatal errors.

Include Unaccompanied Youth Indicator in Residence Survey Audit Tool
The Residence Survey Audit Tool is incomplete. As it currently stands, it adds a whole bunch of 191 records that are missing a State Required Field (Unaccompanied Youth Indicator), thus resulting in fatal errors when sending up the SPRG. For this tool to be really effective and time-saving, the Unaccompanied Youth indicator needs to be included. Maybe auto-populate it as a N and then we can go in and change the the Ys? Or include an option for the person completing the Audit to indicate a Y or N for Unaccompanied Youth.

Don't create PGM 181/182 Free/Reduced Record w/ Direct Cert import-PGM records in CALPADS end when stu exits, even if stu returns-DCs don't
Aeries automatically creates program 181/182 records for all direct certification imports with the direct certification extract from CALPADS.
CALPADS Fall 1 Report 1.17 counts Free & Reduced Meal Program 181/182 records, but also ends 181/182 program records if a student exits. Aeries, on the other hand, does not automatically end the 181/182 record that was created with the direct cert import process. If the student happens to return, CALPADS no longer counts the 181/182 program record, however, Aeries does.
In other words, if a student exits the school CALPADS ends the 181/182 record based on the date the student exited,…

CALPADS Report Needed - Teacher Course Qualification Listing
In order to assist schools in properly assigning teachers to courses and section in a way that is compatible with state credentialing requirements, a new report in Aeries must be created to display Course (and maybe Section) information alongside staff information (including SEID). This report would mimic the CALPADS Fall 2 4.3 so that LEAs can get a jump on assignment monitoring.

Allow us to filter students to create an SSID file just for TBD students after school starts.

Modify Internship page to hide prior year records, not inactive records.
Because internships are now part of the WBLR extract that happens at the end of the year, many times they are being recorded after the internship has ended. Once the record is saved, it disappears from view, and the user thinks the record didn't save properly, so duplicate records are added.
Also, it would be great if the Employer Evaluation field would be flagged when the WT=10 and there is no Evaluation score entered. Those records are rejected by CALPADS.

CRSC extract creating Course Section ID greater than 10 characters in some instances
In some cases, the system-generated Course Section ID is greater than 10 characters. Specifically this seems to be happening when a course taken at a community college has the HIS.SDE field populated, and the student's enrollment includes a Home Reporting School code. It's that combination of things that's causing the system-generated Course Section ID is greater than 10 characters. Courses reported for other schools don't have that issue, probably because it's the trigger for the Reporting Home School that's adding two additional characters in front of the Course Section ID.

Need a report that mimics CALPADS 15.1 & 15.2 reports for ACGR
CALPADS instituted 2 new reports under the Accountability/Monitoring Reports section to help monitor and validate the 4-year Cohort Grad Rate (ACGR) data.

Print Students With Disability Indicator Field report with SSID import
Can the email generated when the SSID report is complete include a report of all STU.ID and STU.CID numbers, with a SWD indicator = "Y". We could then forward the report to our Pupil Services department so they can be aware of new students with IEP's

Allow for a set of pre-defined Text Replacement statements to run against CALPADS file after every extract
Many districts have special situations that require that they change data in files after the files are created before the data goes up to CALPADS. Having those "Replacement" statements saved in Aeries and automatically run would save a ton of time and make things more flexible. Each Replacement Statement should be able to be associated with specific files.

CALPADS Data Audit - Race/Ethnicity Error Fixes
On Student Data Audit for CALPADS, the Race & Ethnicity errors are triggering for students with a Z code in ETH (Decline to state) and ZZZ code in RC1 (Decline to state) even though the ZZZ code are is mapped to Decline To State on CALPADS XRF. Those should not trigger errors, only blank values should trigger errors. Also would like option to exclude warnings and just process Errors.

SINF - Contact Analysis Flowchart
The current Contact Analysis Flowchart seems to hinder accurately reporting student demographics information to CALPADS.
We would like step 1 to consider IF District Settings have any defined Guardian code(s).
IF Guardian codes have been established, reported contacts should be limited to Contact records using those codes.
IF a particular student does not have any contacts with a CON.CD matching one of the defined Guardian codes, then that student shouldn't have any contacts extracted due to not having the required information entered.

CALPADS SELA Import/Conflict Report - Add Home Language
Please add the Reporting Home Language as part of the SELA Import process. In auditing data we found it would be useful to have the SELA Conflict Report also compare the Reporting Home Language listed in CALPADS to what is in Aeries for testing purposes.
