We've just shipped the final set-up piece to allow the creation of the SUN Bucks Supplemental Submisison extract. The final piece, the EDCS extract itself, is in development, and will be released as soon it passes final testing..

Code Translations: Added support for NSLP Source Code (FRE.SRC) mappings in CALPADS Code Translations. Districts can now map local NSLP source codes to EDCS fixed codes. This new mapping will be used for supporting Sunbucks. See Prepping for Supplemental SUN Bucks Collection (SSBC) via EDCS.

Hello, I wanted to let you know that development is almost completed on this project. We will be releasing the final setup areas very soon. Also, we are in final testing for the actual SUN Bucks extraction process for the Supplemental Submission via the Education Data Collecion System.

This clarification message was added to the SUN Bucks communcation pieced linked earlier, so we are adding it here to maintain consistency as to our plans:

There seems to still be some confusion, so we are clarifying out intended actions, as many comments added to this idea cover a wide variety of requests:

We are planning development during the current quarter to make specific upgrades to allow recording in Aeries which students were designated as Free or Reduced based on the UBA (and not the NSLP Application) via a new Source Code. Also, in the same way that districts can make the NSLP application available for download in the parent portal, a customized UBA could also be uploaded into the Parent Portal so they can access it to fill out.

The actual collecting of the UBA, analyzing the responses, assigning the status to a student, and conducting audits would remain a district-function, in the same way that collecting, analyzing, and auditing NSLP applications currently are handled by the districts. Some may utilize their 3rd-party Nutrition Services vendor for these activities, such as collecting the NSLP applications electronically.

It should also include the extract needed for import into EDCS based on their specifications.

First of all, can we change the format of this form? Meaning can we consolidate lines for the "Names of all Household Members" information? Because how it is right now, if a parent has a job, is getting alimony, some sort of pension and sold a cow, they would have to fill out a lot! Could we incorporate drop down menus and perhaps do a sibling match auto populate option? Plus I would leave out the SSN option. This is just a few ideas if we can actually change any format.
