CALPADS no longer allow special characters in Contacts
CALPADS SINF is pulling parent contact names causing an Invalid Character error.
This is a CALPADS bug on their end. They DO intend to allow these special characters again, so we will not be changing our process at this time. If the
SINF update is needed, the customer either needs to make it manually in OM, or remove the offending characters from Aeries, but ALSO delete the CALPADS log entries for that change (the ones that contain the offending characters) so they won't be extracted also.

CALPADS extracts are rejected when they contain special characters:
ñ, í. etc. I cleaned up over 1,500 of them this week. Our parents love to see their child's name correctly spelled in their native language, Núño, Zoë, and our city spelled correctly: Santa María, and their extra efforts during online enrollment is where most if not all of the coded characters enter our system.

This is a CALPADS Known Issue and started after the post redesign. https://documentation.calpads.org/Support/DailyKnownIssueslist/
Problem #6036, screen shot attached. We will not be changing Aeries at this time.

We have the same issue for the SINF however it is not only Contacts. There are demographics fields as well.
We are not having issues with just student names but birth city and Parent/Guardian in Demographics.
So I believe that ALL data going into CALPADS with an Accent Mark will throw out our files.
We cleaned up our Student Names so that we could be sure the SENR posted however our District does not feel that we should be changing this data that parents entered mostly in AIR which allows accent marks to be added.
