5/12/25 Update:
We have been meeting with the Third-Party Administrator for CYBHI, Carelon Behavioral Health, in order to make sure that the next round of updates all conform to their established imports and processes. We are starting development on additional features for this project, which will be released as soon as they pass testing.
- Adding the ability to prompt and/or require parents to confirm their insurance information as part of Parent Data Confirmation.
- Adding additional fields to hold Subscriber information to the Insurance table.
- The fields to be added will be informed by the Insurance file requirements controlled by Carelon.
- Insitituting a drop-down menu with pre-poulated medical insurance carriers for easier data population and management.
- The list for Insurance type M (Medical will be pre-populated from the list provided by Carelon.
- There will be an option for "Other" that will allow a different insurance carrier to be entered into a…

Hi Jan,
Hope all is going well. The User that handles our Med-ical Insurance indicated that CYBHI has required fields and not all are available on the new version. She stated the Subscriber First and Last Name is missing. I sent over the page that she sent me for the 6 required fields. Can you please let me know if Aeries will be reviewing this form for the required fields. Thank you.

Can we also add the Subscriber number as well for the PDC. This is a definite for the current Insurance screen but if it is getting added to PDC this field is also important.

There seems to still be some confusion, so we are clarifying out intended actions, as many comments added to this idea cover a wide variety of requests:
We are planning development during the current quarter to make specific upgrades to allow recording in Aeries which students were designated as Free or Reduced based on the UBA (and not the NSLP Application) via a new Source Code. Also, in the same way that districts can make the NSLP application available for download in the parent portal, a customized UBA could also be uploaded into the Parent Portal so they can access it to fill out.

Currently when a Teacher sets up Attendance by Photo it displays their first name then their last name. Can an option be added to allow the students name to display by Last Name, First Name

The current version of PDC causes a major issue for our District. We open PDC in the current year for next year. the FRE record for this year gets closed out with todays date and a new record gets created with the following date. So we actually do not get a new record created for next year.
We have to backup our FRE data prior to opening PDC. Then after the new Year database is created, pull the backup into FRE and update the EOY FRE records. I would rather that it does the same as Residence survey and not just create new records with Aeries desired dates. Allow the Districts to create this records.

Just an FYI - we have already started PDC at the beginning of this month. When the update was installed last night we did not turn on or off the Disable or Require Medical Info options. It states that if Require is not turned on the User will not be required to add this info.
So the option was setup to NOT require. However ALL of our parents were being forced to update the Medical Insurance information until I went in to each school to disable this option. You may want to think about this next year when you install the changes. We normally go live on 4/1 and do not want to get stuck in this situation again plus we are hosted so you were able to see that we were already running the PDC.
It would have been nice to get a "Hey it's coming....do you want it disabled?" since we are hosted.
