User Security Permissions - Option to give users previous year's permissions
Currently, after the roll over takes place, we have to manually add back permissions to user accounts for previous years data. Many users are staff that require access to review previous year's data and having to manually update the Permissions table is a lot of additional work. It would be great to add the groups but in previous years. Thank you.

Would love to see this idea implemented as going back to give prior year permissions is so time consuming each year.

Not having prior year permissions has created a dumpster fire of a headache for the district. Can a simple "give everybody the same access as they had last year" click box be added so that I don't have to go through a laborious process to address this one by one?

This is what I recommend:
- Grant ability to copy group or user permissions (think CRS copy function)
- Create two Security function buttons for Last Year Permissions and Before Last Year Permissions
---- Read/Update for roles that will need to access and update past school year data.
---- Read Only to allow the Admin to en masse change these Users back to read only if applicable-- Grant the ability to change school access permissions for prior school years.
---- some locations are no longer available in the current school year and the only way to grant Admin for past school access in via the USR table.
Example: we no longer have an Adult School and have remove the LOC record for the current school year, but the Adult School exists in previous school databases. -

Time consuming, please get this done for us. Thank you!

Maybe there could be a Previous Years Group. We just add those people to that group....

It would be also helpful if we could copy from current year to previous years, especially since this does not happen automatically during the rollover.

This would be very helpful

I agree with this, I manage 12 different districts with up to 6-7 pages of permissions groups,. It would take me weeks to push out read only permissions to all those groups for the pervious year.

At this time, you cannot copy over set permissions in previous years if someone needs the same access but to previous years. This would save a lot of time. This is not the same as groups but just one off accounts that require specific permissions to complete research.
