Option to Recalculate Attendance Letter Counters in STU
In addition to being able to "Zero Student Absence Letter Counters", I think it would be helpful to have a "Recalculate Student Absence Letter Counters" option.
The function would evaluate the LTL table for the current year records and re-calculate what the counter should be based on those records. I find the counters get out of synch often and it's not a case where we want to reset to 0, but reset to what they should be based on the LTL table.

Student Attendance Report - Make it a PDF - Currently is Quick Print only
The attendance report that is printed from the Student Attendance page is a Quick Print, and is not easily saved as a PDF. Would like to be able to electronically store and send attendance without having to print and scan. Making this a regular report that can go to PDF as a download option would be great.

Absence Codes - Ability to Inactivate/Retire Codes
Because it is not recommended to delete codes for historical purposes, it would be great to have the ability to Inactivate/Retire Absence Codes. Especially with the current pandemic we may want to temporarily not use a code based on the type of learning occurring. It is easy to remove a code for teachers to access but office staff who have User accounts should have the ability to not see codes the district does not want them using. The Classroom Attendance pages needs to honor Inactive tags on Absence Codes.

Search by SSID on Attendance Management Page
On the Attendance Management page, there is no option to search for a student by their SSID.
Could this be added?

Attendance Management - Filter Absence Codes
Attendance Management - buttons to select all or none absence codes. We use this screen to verify an attendance note has been added for all absences. We currently have to check 25 boxes.

Placeholder image for photos
When a student photo does not exist, instead of the Seating Chart in the Attendance by Photo screen showing a broken image icon (because it is, imo, malformed HTML (a bug!)) load a static placeholder image.

Is invalid HTML, the source is not complete because it contains no actual data, eg an image of 0 length. Detect this state when building your base64 insert into the HTML and substitute in the placeholder when LEN = 0 for the data pulled from PIC.

District ATT Letters - Limit Contacts
Currently, Dist ATT Letters get sent digitally to STU.PEM, CON.EM if Portal Access = Y, and if duplicate mail tag = A. We no longer update STU.PEM. We see the need to only send emails to CON records who are either tagged as primary contacts or ed rights holders, or rellationship type = parent 1 or parent 2. That way other emergency contacts that have portal access also do not get sent the email.

Teacher Attendance - Highlight the Attendance row when selected
In Aeries Gradebook, when you click on a student's name, or hover over the entire row of that student is highlighted/made darker.
Is there any way that that could happen in Attendance? When you hover on a student of when you click on an "Absent", and "N", or even "D", there is no change in the color of that student's row.
I know that for me, it is easier to keep the marks for a particular student specifically for that student if his/her row is highlighted.7 votes -

Please take off the Days with Truancies
We would love to have the Days with Truancies taken off of the Parent Portal. Parents are so confused by this and the word Truancy makes the parents think the student is in trouble. We are constantly fielding calls about this. It's information that the parent doesn't need to have.

Make the Attendance History Summary page printable
We have the ability to view the attendance history page but not to print unless we right click the page and select print, which is very rarely successful. It would be very helpful if this page can be printed out, as many times parents request attendance history for their students. This would be a much quicker way to access prior years attendance without having to go into each year and print out attendance.
