Attendance Audit Report should consider attendance enrollment to flag student not of age
The audit attendance report in Aeries should flag errors if a student is not of age. This verification should not solely rely on demographic data but should also consider attendance enrollment to detect instances where a student was underage at the beginning of the school year. If the student doesn’t meet the minimum age requirement in a specific grade, it should be reflected on the attendance audit list. This is crucial to our district as it will minimize attendance errors and avoid claiming ADA for a student is not eligible.

Add Quarter Terms Totals to the Student Data - Attendance Screen
Currently, the Student Data > Attendance Screen only allows term totals for Semesters Fall and Spring. We would like the option to show totals by quarter since we do not have semester terms at all of our schools.

Automatic Update Grade Reporting Absence Totals
Before running report cards you must update grade reporting absence totals, but it would be great if this was made to be an automatic daily, weekly, or monthly update.

Attendance Letters - Change Default Letter Delivery Type
Suggest that Digital not be the first or default choice for the delivery type for attendance letters. If you mistakenly forget to change the type or are running a test and do not change it, the letter will be sent out. Putting Do Not Send as the default seems the safest choice.

Attendance - Add Print "Date Range Ability" on Student Attendance Page
It would be really helpful to be able to print the "attendance days for a specific date range" from the Student Attendance Page - Quick Print instead of getting all of the days. That way, it is easier to communicate the days you want to focus on rather than have the extra pages.

Attendance Log Report
Attendance Log Report - The correct Primary Teacher should print for the dates the teacher was primary. The Log should reflect the student's grade level at the time of the absence.

Exit Code For Students Staying In The District
Please add a new exit code for students transferring within the district- Regular, transfer to public CA School - In District (LOCAL CODE ONLY - Mapped to T160). This would allow us to keep track of students who have left the district (160) and not just moved from school to school within the district.

Allow import to to ATT.ADA, ATT.ADT, and ATT.ACO for updating attendance records with all day codes from Saturday school attendance
If a student attends saturday school and we would like to append an attendance all day code with the ADA make up code in the ATT.ADA field, this has to be done one by one. Allowing an import of this data or another method of mass changing for schools with a large saturday school program would allow for recouping ADA much easier.

Ability to translate Attendance Notes
It would be a incredibly helpful if the the attendance notes were able to get translated based on the parent/guardian corresponding language. When I attended AeriesCon, I was in the attendance session and nearly everybody in the class raised their hand when I suggested this to the mentor.

Attendance Dashboard Option
I would like to see the attendance dashboard mirror the discipline dashboard to show the various codes used and the students who are associated with them. In the discipline dashboard, we can look at the violation code and be able to see which students have that code associated with them. It would be great to be able to have a correlating report in the attendance dashboard as well.

School Based Attendance Letters: create option so "Print All Parts for this ID" is chosen
From Spring AeriesCon 2024: provide an option to make "Print All Parts for this ID" be the only choice when printing school-based attendance letters. (Instead of allowing the users to choose all or part 1, 2, 3 from the dropdown.) The choice is confusing to their school staff, who are choosing 1, then 2, then 3.

Ability to set "Before" and "After" times for Secondary ADA in order to create a window for attendance taking
We need the ability to set a window for our afternoon Elementary school teachers to take attendance just like the morning teachers do. In Portal Options, there is a setting to enter how many minutes "before" and how many minutes "after" the Primary ADA time to limit attendance taking but there is no way to do the same for the Secondary ADA time.

Update Attendance and Enrollment Totals
To be able to utilize the Update Attendance and Enrollment Totals function with an option to choose a date range. For example by month (9/1/2023 to 9/30/2023) or by quarter or semester, etc. Not the standard month ADA ranges which overlap in months but true 30/31 days calendar months.

Attendance - Update Notes when you use Update ATT Data
We are able to update attendance with attendance code for a date range using the Update ATT Data.
Can we also update the attendance notes for same date range. So that we don't have to add the note date day by day. (not the same as Mass Update)9 votes -
Initialize Attendance / Course Attendance - Do Not Allow Mid Year
Request to not allow Attendance & Course Attendance to be initialized mid year or once ATT and CAR records already exist. Perhaps only Aeries admins can perform that function?
From my recollection, we had to remove all records in SQL in order to run the Initialize ATT & CAR a second time in the old Client days which was only performed prior to the 1st day of school.
