Add option to print Legal or Preferred Name on work permits
Work Permits currently prints the students preferred name. Employers would ask for legal documents from the students and they cannot verify the name on the students' legal document vs the name printed on the work permit. It would be very helpful to have the option to print either legal name or preferred name when printing work permits.

Hello, a fix for this issue was released on 11/16/2023. Here are the revision notes: The Print Student Legal Name option was added allowing users to include the student's legal name on the Print CDE B1-1 Statement of Intent To Employ and Print CDE B1-4 Permit to Employ or Work reports. The legal information is only printed for users who have permission to view legal name information (LSI table), and only if the student has a legal name.

Currently, the only work around is for the permit issuer to temporarily change the student's name in Aeries, print the permit, then change the name back. Surely the option to print legal name can be added to work permits the way it was added to transcripts.

With the increase of Students being allowed to request their names and gender being changed without parent consent the Legal Name and Gender form records are increasing. However we are now having issues with employers wanting their Legal Names printed on this work permit. We have gone back to TYPING up these students Work Permits since it is not an option in Aeries. Please look at this request since this is becoming more and more needed throughout all Districts.

It makes it very difficult for school staff to help our students when we cannot access the necessary information. In this the inability to print the legal names on legal documents.
