Upon further research, since there are no state-identified criteria that a student is required to complete to earn this State Seal of Civic Engagement, it is up to the local District to determine eligibility. We have created documentation on how to indicate a student who has met your local requirements, so they can be identified later when it is time for graduation. At this time, this data collection is not done via the CALPADS process. I see that my previous comment was posted but I couldn't find an email with a response. Is it possible to get an update one this idea? My district plans to implement it for the current school year and CDE wants us to report it through a new Education Data Collection System (EDCS). I've attached the new CALPADS Flash Update #268.
