Single Step Option to Hide Class and Teacher Information
Please create a single step option to hide Class, Class Scheduling, Gradebook, and Teacher information from the Parent and Student Portals, Mobile Portal, and from Aeries Communications. Including a date range when this restriction is in effect would be preferable.
I would like to see whoever has the right to create the schedules have one toggle button to hide it from Parents and Students while it is being created/rearranged in MST.
This is critical to offices that get phone calls almost immediately from Students and Parents wanting to reschedule before it's even released. These folks are closest to the data and time for most of us is critical at this point in the process. It's scramble turn it off and scramble turn it on now.(Edited by admin)

This would make life so much easier for every district trying to keep schedules from being viewed too soon. Also, trying to get all of the portals back to "normal" is a pain as well.

Trying to keep track of the different permissions and dates has been difficult; this would be a great improvement.

If there can't be a one button, at least have a "default" set of permissions and a "summer" set of permissions or something like that can be switched back and forth. But even that is too time consuming if you have to switch each school from one set to the other. We have to go through the permissions for each site for 24 sites to block everything and then again to unblock it all. and each site wants it done at different times on different days.

This would be a very awesome upgrade.
Currently our policy is to block parents from viewing their schedule until the school year has started. In order to do this we need to remove permissions at a series of locations then we have to remember to enable these permissions when the school year starts again.
It would be helpful to have a sort of blackout period that allows us to set a time such as the summer to temporarily remove these permissions from Portal options, Security- parent groups and anywhere else I may be forgetting while allowing these things to re-enable automatically at the start of the school year.

Include all the tables that are affected, including SIB as somehow parents can view through the Siblings.

There needs to be one option to select that will hide all the tables associated with Scheduling/Teachers from Parents during Data Confirmation. Currently, we are having to go in and individually remove view access to the ATT, SEC, CAR, GRD and GBS tables for the Parent and Student Portals, in hopes that MAYBE parents won't see schedules prematurely. Oh and we have to update that site-by-site because all our sites are a tiny bit different. It is very cumbersome so, considering Data Confirmation has been a thing for a while, I feel this option is WAY overdue.

This needs to happen and soon. Like before the end of the school year. I have never gone though so many hoops to hide scheduling. Thank you for your consideration.
