  1. CRSC extract creating Course Section ID greater than 10 characters in some instances

    In some cases, the system-generated Course Section ID is greater than 10 characters. Specifically this seems to be happening when a course taken at a community college has the HIS.SDE field populated, and the student's enrollment includes a Home Reporting School code. It's that combination of things that's causing the system-generated Course Section ID is greater than 10 characters. Courses reported for other schools don't have that issue, probably because it's the trigger for the Reporting Home School that's adding two additional characters in front of the Course Section ID.

  2. SINF - Contact Analysis Flowchart

    The current Contact Analysis Flowchart seems to hinder accurately reporting student demographics information to CALPADS.

    We would like step 1 to consider IF District Settings have any defined Guardian code(s).
    IF Guardian codes have been established, reported contacts should be limited to Contact records using those codes.
    IF a particular student does not have any contacts with a CON.CD matching one of the defined Guardian codes, then that student shouldn't have any contacts extracted due to not having the required information entered.
    (potentially an option could be added to allow districts to FALL back to the CON.OR scheme -- though…

  3. LTEL Import Process page needs checkmarks to track progress

    Please add checkmarks and other messages so it is apparent what step(s) have been completed. The SELA Import Process under ODS Reconciliation has helpful checkmarks that clearly shows what step you are on in the entire process.

  4. Allow for a set of pre-defined Text Replacement statements to run against CALPADS file after every extract

    Many districts have special situations that require that they change data in files after the files are created before the data goes up to CALPADS. Having those "Replacement" statements saved in Aeries and automatically run would save a ton of time and make things more flexible. Each Replacement Statement should be able to be associated with specific files.

  5. CALPADS - School Selection by User instead of District-Wide

    When you have an Aeries district with multiple CDS codes, there are multiple people running the CALPADS extracts. The "Save" button changes the default selection for everyone! Every time an extract is run it changes the default schools for everyone else, and our CALPADS administrator has to deal with errors when they accidently leave a school checked that isn't theirs in the first place.

  6. New Report for Special Ed Information and Teacher Credentials-CALPADS

    Using Special Education information and credential information, create class lists with Primary and secondary disabilities for courses where instructional strategy = 700 (special education). This would be helpful for CALPADS assignment monitoring requirements.

  7. CALPADS - Extract Only School-Level Staff for SDEM/SASS for Charter Schools

    Our charter schools are part of our primary Aeries database for various operational reasons, and our district is responsible for reporting their data to CALPADS. However, they have to be reported separately to CALPADS for special education reasons, so we have to run separate extracts for them.

    Currently, when a user extracts SDEM and SASS files for any set of schools, district office records are included, under the assumption that the district-level records will be relevant. However, when uploading for a charter school, the district-level records aren't relevant, and the files are rejected by CALPADS. As a workaround, every time…

  8. Job Assignments

    Update current staff assignment codes to current CALPADS codes and delete codes that have been retired. Once a job class is selected for Admin, Pupil Services or itinerant, only allow CALPADS valid codes in drop down of non-classroom based job codes. It would also be great to have a report to identify staff records with incomplete CALPADS records.

  9. SELA Import Process

    When a correction is made to a student in CALPADS and then we re-import from CALPADS using the SELA Import Process please allow what is already in Aeries to be over written with the New CALPADS information. For the ELAS field in the Language Screen.
