Allow "Next School" to determine course request offerings.
Currently, course request offerings are determined by the student's current school. This does not work well in cases where the students are moving across a school grade level boundary. In casess where there is not a 1:1 relationship between feeder schools and next schools, students have to use generic course requests, if they can use them at all.

Make hand scheduling easier and quicker
In CS you could quickly click on the courses in the alternate tab and view what period it is available. Now having to go to the SMS Board and filtering it either by course ID or period is so time consuming. From a schedulers point of view .net is far less efficient than it was in CS. There are several features but this one is grueling!

Improve the View of Classes in Edit mode
It is so hard to see the results of the changes you have made unless you click Save. I find it really hard to read. I add a class from View MST and it puts it at the bottom of the list rather than in period order. t Then to compound the problem, on the SSS side, you can’t even click the sections. You are forced to use View MST -which actually is OK with me. I love View MST, but the fact that the two systems are now so different is confusing.

Allow Optional Alternate Courses
Our high schools want the Alternate Course to be an option when pre-slugged courses are perma-locked. This way parents and/or students can indicate if they want to level up or down.

Scheduling Master/Master Schedule add customizable permission sets for different Staff Roles
On the Scheduling Master and Master Schedule page, when a Section Staff is added and assigned as Primary Teacher, the permissions (Attendance Prm, Gradebook Prm, etc.) are automatically added (but can be changed).
If a Section Staff is added who is not the Primary Teacher, can a customizable set of Permissions be added based on the Staff Role (SMS.SR/MST.SR)? Note that this could only work currently with the existing hard-coded Staff Roles, but that it would be nice if Staff Roles can ever be added, that the customer could input: "if this Staff Role, then these permissions."

Scheduling Exclusions: add (optional) "For this specific Course or Courses" to student exclusion
For Scheduling Exclusions by student, if a student exclusion could be limited to particular Courses, that might actually make scheduling easier. The example provided was for a PE Course. PE would prefer an exclusion, but other courses might not need the exclusion to be honored.

Course Requests Entry on Student/Parent Portal: add options to modify/limit entries
When Course Requests are collected on paper, instructions are provided to the students/parents. These instructions can be more restrictive and granular than what the Student/Parent Portal currently allows for. For example, it would be nice if an "Entry Options" was provided so that the school could set a max number of Primary Requests per individual Subject Area/Department Code. Or if the Course Requests Entry could allow different restrictions on Course Requests based on different Grade Levels and/or other student characteristics. Basically, it would be great if the Course Requests Entry on the Portal allowed exactly what the school wanted to…

Flex/Section Staff Conversion: copy Teachers (TCH) data to Staff Scheduling Info (SSI)
When a school converts from traditional scheduling to Flex scheduling and/or if they start to use Section Staff, can certain fields from TCH (for example, TCH.RM, TCH.MS, TCH.LO, TCH.HI) be copied to the SSI fields for the appropriate school and staff record? Those would be SSI.RM, SSI.MX, SSI.LO, and SSI.HI in my example.
The reason I'm asking is to save customers some data entry work, especially if they have to do this manually.
