CALPADS LOG - CALPADS Extracts - Immutable attributes
There are certain fields that are currently captured in the CALPADS Log for which the fields do not need a history as they are immutable attributes of a student. Any changes will represent the correction of previously incorrect data.
For example:
USS: The first date of US K-12 Enrollment.
BCU, BST, BCY: The birth country/state details
We spend hours every year dealing with the clean up of the CALPADS log for these entries. The history prevents SSID acquisition until cleaned up, as the original (blank) value is used.
Proposal: If the history is determined to still be useful in the CALPADS Log... ok... can the extract be changed to ONLY use the most recently submitted values for these (and possibly other immutable attribute fields)??
Please!

My team and I spend a lot of time clearing out the entries for these immutable attributes - as not initially having a value causes challenges when reporting to CALPADS (SINF is date based, the SSID request process).
Many times, the school site eventually enters the corrected values, however since these entries are dated later... the CALPADS extracts do not reflect these from the start of the enrollment... which can prevent SSID requests or create missing information in certification snapshot reports.
This is a significantly needless time sink for my team.
