Attendance Letter to Parents: honor CON.CL if printing to CON record who receives copy
When the Attendance Letter to Parents is printed to a contact, the letter prints in English. If a contact who receives a copy has a correspondence language (CON.CL) other than English and a letter exists for that language, the letter should print in that language.

Attendance letters should print based on the contact corresponding language rather than based on the home language. Not all parents are fluent readers in the home language.

Printing letters and report cards based off the student language isn't always the best for the parent who is the one reading the information.

Attendance Letters should print according to contact corresponding language. We have parents request that all letters are sent home in English even though their students Home Language states Spanish. Since the Attendance Letters look at the STU.CL field and not the CON.CL field you can not change the parents preference.

When you are printing reports or attendance letters these should print out in the language the parent/guardian have selected under Contacts (CON.CL) not what they have entered as their Home Language (STU.CL). We have parents/guardians that have Spanish listed as their home language but request letters, report cards, etc. are sent home in English. Since Aeries pulls from STU.CL and not CON.CL there is not a way to send home the requested English forms without changing their home language.
