Teacher Supplemental Attendance - Allow Comment
Add a comment bubble next to the daily session minutes so teachers can make a comment on why a student leaves a session early or comes in late, similar to the attendance notes feature in Classroom Attendance.

Also, It is very important for us to be able to write in the comment box if the minutes are synchronous vs. asynchronous. This is extremely important during this time of Distance Learning.

As an SLP it is important to be able to leave a comment in the supplemental attendance stating if the student was absent. Without this ability, we have no way to track the number of absences in the system. When attending an IEP for a child that has missed several sessions it is helpful to be able to print out the comments to show administration and parents. Also, it allows me to be able to comment on why I was not able to see the student, other than them being absent (e.g., sleeping in the classroom, behaviors)

Need to document those details.

It would be great if we could have a checkmark or - symbol to click on next to the + sign where we enter the supplemental attendance hours that the student was seen, to indicate an absence instead of having to go into the bubble to leave a comment. Noting absences is very important to us.

This feature is critical in providing data/documentation for IEP compliance and Due Process requests.

Also, please consider adding a (-) minus sign next to the + sign that we can click on and changes color, maybe to red, to mark Absences instead of having to click on the bubble and then adding in the comment section that student was absent. Thank you!

Due to the fact that AERIES collects positive attendance, DIS staff cannot mark students absent. Without this ability, we have no way to track the number of absences in the system. When attending an IEP for a child that has missed several sessions it is helpful to be able to print out the comments to show administration and parents.

This is VERY important for us. I have already had to pull this report twice because of records being requested for Due Process Hearings.
