CAASPP TOMS Test Settings Returns 403 "Not Associated with Specified LEA or School" When Identifier Fields Contain Non-CDS Values
When a directly funded (independent) charter school submits or deletes CAASPP test settings through Aeries, TOMS returns the error "This student is not associated with the specified LEA or school." This happens because Aeries sends the authorizing district's identity as the LEA instead of the charter's own reporting LEA. CALPADS and TOMS hold these students under the charter's own reporting LEA, the same code shown as the Reporting LEA and School of Attendance on the student's CALPADS enrollment record, so when Aeries sends the district identity (whether the district CDS code or the value in the Public CDS or Unique District Identifier field on the Schools page) TOMS cannot match the student and rejects the request, even though the student is correctly enrolled in CALPADS under the charter. Aeries will be updated so that for a directly funded charter the TOMS Test Settings feature sends the charter's own CALPADS reporting LEA in both the LEA and school values it transmits, matching what CALPADS and TOMS already hold, so these schools can submit and delete test settings without the error.
