Parent Data Confirmation - Contact Table Required Fields
Define required fields for Contacts in Parent Data Confirmation. For example: require at least name, relationship, 1 form of contact (at least one phone OR email) notification preference.

The Automated Notification Preferences field needs to be populated in the Contacts page in order for the parent to obtain a Parent Square account. Parents are not filling in this field so I have to run a change query on a weekly basis to mass change this field to General and Emergency Announcements. I initially set up for this field to be required under Define Required Field but then I found out that this is for staff and not for parents. My solution would be to include this field in the online enrollment for parents to fill out and/or make this field as required for parents to complete during the PDC process. This causes a huge headache especially towards the beginning of the year when we have an influx of brand new parents coming into the district and they do not receive messages.

Parents/guardians should be required to designate the type of each contact they list for their student to ensure proper communication and authorization. This would clearly indicate who should be contacted in an emergency and who is authorized to pick up the student from school, but is not an Emergency Contact

Definitely, it is critical to have the option to make certain fields mandatory. This will help reduce incomplete records.

Yes, we need the ability to make Parent Ed Level a mandatory field for 23-24 SY in PDC not just initial online enrollment please!

This needs to apply to the parent portal when you make contacts editable by parents too, when you turn off the data confirmation.
In addition we need to have the ability to require parents/guardians to enter at least their first name, last name, education level if they identify themselves as Parent/Guardian 1 or Parent/Guardian2. We need this for the new requirement effective 2022-2023.

Totally agree. Make sure these settings can be adjusted by the district. Also, it would be best if legal contacts who do not live at the same address if by default they could NOT see each other's contact information.

We would also like the ability for families to be able to Select Primary Contacts ( 1 and 2 ) in the portal.
This could be as simple as clicking a Star icon ( add the icon below the pencil ).
Behavior
-- When you click the star, it toggles on/off
-- When you click more than 2 stars, it will prompt saying you can only have 2 primary contacts
-- When you click the star 'on', it will generate a prompt to select the primary number from the record, via a radio button list
