Parent Reporting Attendance through Parent Portal
If Aeries could create attendance reporting enhancements that would allow for the following:
1.) Parents submitting attendance through their parent portal (This would also need to permit file uploads for doctor's appointments etc), it would eliminate needing to verify if a person submitting attendance is permitted or not. It would also be great to add a permission where absence reporting can be available for a student when they turn 18.
2.) A easy to use dashboard for attendance clerks to approve these submittals and mass fill in attendance codes either by period or all day.
3.) A feature should be available for parents who are trying to "Correct" attendance where in it could notify a teacher to approve and then attendance clerks could see whether or not it is approved so they can clear absences OR update attendance codes.
4.) Teachers should also be able to request/excuse groups of kids who need to leave early (ie all students in period 7 are excused from period 6 for sports, then the attendance clerk can just click "yes" so it mass updates their attendance codes for that specific group of kids).
