Allow for Transcript Term GPA to be printed without recomputing the GPA for the student
We would like the system to honor the district-level setting that prevents GPA recalculation, ensuring that transcript reports accurately reflect the stored weighted term GPA without triggering a recalculation of the student’s GPA. Maintaining the integrity of the originally calculated GPA is critical for accurate academic reporting, as these values are often used for official transcripts, class rankings, eligibility determinations, and communication with staff, students, and parents.
When the system recalculates GPA despite this setting, it creates discrepancies between stored and reported values, which can lead to confusion for staff, students, and families, and may require additional time for manual verification and correction. This not only impacts efficiency but also raises concerns about data reliability in official records.
Ensuring this functionality works as intended would support data accuracy, reduce the need for manual intervention, and provide confidence that transcript outputs align with district expectations and policies.
