Behavior emergency improvement
When you click on the magnifying glass, it goes to a completely different Incident ID, student, and school (Behavior Emergency)
(see attached picture)
Since behavior emergency is tucked into an assertive discipline tab, along with its own listing drop-down, the incident ID should link…meaning if you click on the magnifying glass, you see if there is an ADS incident associated with the behavior emergency.
EXAMPLE:
1. A student gets suspended, so it’s entered into Assertive Discipline. Incident ID is created.
2. Later, a staff member is entering a behavior emergency for the same student, clicks on the magnifying glass to
see if it has an assertive discipline record that it should be attached to.
If you're in the District, it will pull up a random list of kids that have nothing to do with your student, ASSUMING you're going to search for the incident ID of the BER you're on? (Why would you search for it?)
If you click the magnifying glass in the school, it comes up with a "date search" type prompt where you can enter the incident ID…but why would you do that?
It does appear to try and link to Victims and Witnesses, though….but why not discipline also?
In our district, we have had to delete “new” BERs because we found out they should have been attached to an Assertive discipline incident.
You could even include some of the other ideas at the same time. :
