Extend length of first name field for the Print Smarter Balanced Cards (SBAC) - CAASPP
The current Print Smarter Balanced Cards (SBAC) - CAASPP report is not pulling the full name used by TOMS if it is a longer name. We have a student with four first names, total character length with spaces is 29. The report appears to only be pulling 16 to 17 characters as only the first two names show. This makes it challenging for sites to get the student signed on for state assessments when the card does not match what TOMS has. CALPADS accepts 30 characters for the first name field, can the report be updated to match that length.
Additionally, can the SBAC Test Date field default to the current date? With it defaulting to the last date run, it often ends up as a date in the prior school year and no cards are generated. There's not enough information for the staff running the report to catch that the date needs to be changed.
