Allow exceeds standards OR standards met to automatically show ELA req. met for Biliteracy
Right now a student can meet the ELA requirement for the Seal of Bilteracy by meeting the standards on the SBAC OR getting at least a B average in their ELA classes. A student that isn't on track with the B but has meets requirements will automatically be processed as req. met with the SBAC but a student that has the good grades in their English classes and exceeds isn't being counted because it's waiting for them to meet it with the class. I'd like to see them tagged as met with the SBAC if they've already met or exceeded standards. It will make the process quicker for those ahead of the requirements which will save some time at the end. Since the State requirement is either or Aeries should reflect that once a student has met or exceeded the standard- not wait to see the class grades.

Per CA Ed Code Section 51461, students meet the English Proficiency requirement in Option 1 by passing the CAASPP ELA administered in grade 11, at or above the "standard met" achievement level. The current Seal of Biliteracy page is only marking the student as meeting the requirement if they receive a 3 on the CAASPP ELA, but not if the student receives a 4, which leaves out numerous students who actually exceeded that requirement. Please fix the page to reflect the requirements per CA Ed Code. Thank you.
