Financials needs to talk to student assets, and also to assets. When assets are moved to financials, but also when charges are paid or removed from financials the student's assets need to be adjusted and the assets need to reflect that the item is now out of service.5 votes

Notify portal-enabled contacts when a new fee is added to Financials
When adding a new fee to a student in Aeries Financials, it would be helpful if there was a mechanism to send an email and/or push notification to the linked portal accounts. As it is now there is no notification, and the fee is not obvious to a parent when visiting the portal in either the browser or mobile app, so it is very easy for the parent to not even realize that a fine was assessed until much much later. This increases the chance that the parent has forgotten the details of the fine or even why there was one, so now site staff have to deal with an irritated parent.
My idea is that a checkmark option be added to the Add Fee screen which tells Aeries to send an email to any portal accounts linked to the student when the fine is added. This could also be useful on the Add Payment screen, as the email notification would serve as a receipt for in-person payments. The Add Fee message could say something like the following:
<School name> has added a new fee for <student name>. The details of this fee are listed below. You can visit Aeries Portal to pay this fee online. If you have any questions please contact <school name>.
Date: 5-17-2021 (pulled from date field on Add Item screen)
Fee Amount: $45 (pulled from amount field on Add Item screen)
Description: (any text added to description field on Add Item screen)
Other elements from the Add Item screen could be included here, but I suggest only including elements that have data provided. For example, we don't use course fees, so including that on all email notifications would be superfluous.
Also, having a simple push notification in the mobile app that says something like "A new fee has been added for <student name>" would be a great way to drive them into the app to pay the fine quickly. Tapping on the notification could take them directly to the Financials screen in the app (which is currently hidden in the More menu). But that's just a cherry on top - simply having the email notification would be a huge help.

Financials - Online Store Manager
Would like to see some sorting options on the Online Store Manager page. This feature would make the page more user-friendly when working with a larger catalog. Would also like to see an option to make the item inactive. (something like making a student inactive)3 votes

Aeries Financials to add a Fee Cancel Option
something similar to what Balance Adjustment does within adding a Payment, but called "Fee Cancelled" and is built-in similar to Balance Adjustment so users don't need to add manual codes for it.
This would prevent it from showing as a separate payment record within reports and the UI, however allows users to keep a record of "this student was expected to pay this amount, but then we decided it was cancelled"1 vote

Financial Transactions show details
It would be nice to be able to see the details of paid and balance adjusted transactions. When a fee is balance adjust it just shows paid. This is confusing because it is not paid it is adjusted or waived.1 vote
When running financial statements in the reports, it shows a total due of "0" in amount due even when there is a remaining balance.1 vote
Financials - Order Management Pending Status
On the Order Management page, we would like to see an enhancement of some sort or an automated process to help clean up the students that show up as pending. The only way thus far for us to remove them, is to manually emulate each and every student.1 vote
We need canned reports pulling from the order management page, in order to see how many students have purchased each class and how many spots are still open and also see the names of the students signed up for each course. I am attaching a sample of what we need.1 vote
Financials - Allow a Partial Cancellation
In Financials, on the order management, order details, there is no way to do a partial cancellation - it would be nice to be able to do a partial cancellation and not have to cancel the entire order and the customer would need to sign up again.1 vote
