Force Red Flags as Pop-Up Message
Add option to force a pop-up that shows custom red flag information that is applied to a student demographics page or student contacts page or student's medical page. Pop-up should function similarly to session expiration message, pausing all page functions until pop-up is acknowledged or closed. Pop-up should display red flag information data, such as parent/contact restraining orders, medical or food allergy warnings, or other critical messages that could otherwise be ignored. Some red flag information may not need to be displayed as a pop-up for every student. Allow for a checkbox function to enable or disable pop-up from appearing per student or per red flag category.

I’d like to request that we implement a stronger visual alert system within our student information platform to ensure that important student information is not overlooked.
When a student has a medical issue, court order, or any other critical note or flag that staff need to be aware of, their name should visually stand out when their profile is accessed. Ideally, this could look like:
The student’s name appearing in red,
Or the name blinking/highlighted,
Or a clear alert banner or pop-up appearing when their record is opened.
The goal is to make sure that staff immediately know to check the “FLAGS” section or critical notes before proceeding — especially in emergency or legal situations. This would help ensure compliance, student safety, and communication accuracy.
