Student Search Enhancements - Legal Information
Add ability to search for a student by their legal name if that user has permission to view LSI data.
Also add a search field option for STU.LS

How much longer do we have to keep waiting for this? This issue has been on my yearly attendance meeting agenda and I keep having to tell them "It is still in process'

I had to call a parent for a student and she gave me their legal name. When I searched for them, I couldn't find them. Since the student changed their name in Aeries as their preferred name. Our concern was that we should be able to see the legal name too if we searched it or any aliases since the students can now change their name to what they want. Not all students communicate this to their parents and some parents don't agree or what not. I'm suggesting that we are able to search for them by their legal name, preferred name, and or previous preferred names since sometimes we have students that have changed their name 5 times in a year as well.
Also can we please put an auto save ability so when we type and get pulled away, it doesn't all erase? This happens quite often.

Sites cannot search the legal name when registering students. They often create a new local ID which now creates a new SSID in Calpads.

Yes, please! I'm training a new Registrar and she can't find students who have LSI populated she isn't aware of because she just wasn't here at the time.

This would be very beneficial for registrars who have legal documents to reference, need to look up the student, but do not remember or know that the student's name is different than their legal name
