Attendance Recovery Tracking & Reporting
CDE new mandate requires that students may only earn attendance recovery minutes in full one-hour increments. Fractions of an hour are not eligible to be counted toward recovery. This creates a challenge when tracking student participation. Current Aeries functionality does not automatically differentiate between “time attended” and “time eligible for recovery credit.”
1. Apply CDE Hour-Block Rule – System calculates and credits only full hours toward recovery.
Example: 35 minutes = 0 hours earned; 1 hour 45 minutes = 1 hour earned; 2 hours 55 minutes = 2 hours earned

Expanded Learning Opportunities (ELOP) - The ability to track and report Student registration and participation is needed for 25/26 SY
A method is needed to track the ELOP opportunities that students are registered for and participating is needed for the 25/26 school year. It will now be incorporated into the CALPADS process. The districts would benefit tremendously from having this. I know in California we need it! It will help with reporting state information to see and compare how it relates to the funding we receive.

Here are the relevant revision notes:
New Year Rollover:
- For California districts, data in the following tables will roll over for records with start dates on or after July: Supp Att Calendar (ATC), Supp Att Assignments (ATA), Supp Att Data (ATD).

- Configurations > District Settings:
- A new district setting titled “Supplemental Attendance Program Codes for Attendance Recovery” is now available. Users with Edit rights can identify which Supplemental Attendance Program (ATP.TY) codes are used for this program type. See District Settings.
- A new district setting titled “Expanded Learning Programs” is now available. Users with Edit rights can identify which Supplemental Attendance Program (ATP.TY) codes are used for this program type. See District Settings.

One cool new option for your CCGI export, would be to enter the district's SFTP information into the export, and have the long running process automatically send to CCGI.

CALPADS STAS Extract - Add Attendance Recovery Days
Beginning in 2025/26 the CDE will begin collecting the total number of days, as defined by statute, in the academic year in which a student participated in an attendance recovery program. Adjust the STAS extract file to include these calculations for reporting the Attendance Recovery (AR) days.
36 votesHello, the STAS file layout has been updated to include the Attendance Recovery Days column. The data will extract with 0 at this time. The business rules will be implemented later closer to the time it will be collected in the EOY CALPADS submission.
CALPADS has informed all vendors that they will be implementing the new layout in a couple weeks, closer to the end of September. LEAs should refrain from uploading any STAS extracts until CALPADS has implemented these changes.
As a reminder, the STAS extract is not required to be submitted until the End of Year submission.

Create a report that contains GPA calculations per term
When you print a transcript, you can see each term (per year) contains a GPA calculation. Though on Aeries, there is no report that contains this kind of data, it is something we have to calculate on a spreadsheet. Would be helpful to have a report within Aeries can be adjusted and downloaded that contains GPA calculations based on the term you select from previous years, not just recent.

Although the ability to view District GPA calculations was completed and a new Report created, we are starting work on the ability to see the Built-in GPA calculations. This UserVoice will remain open until that work is completed. Therefore I have reopened this idea.

Duo Authentication: Changes to root certificate authority on 2/2/26
Aeries is investigating and plans to incorporate any changes needed in the Aeries product to accommodate the upcoming changes Duo has announced for its root certificate authority expiration. We will update this idea as needed once the entire scope of the needed changes are determined.

TX Final Year Mark: Enhance Final Grade Calculation for Year Long Courses with the Same Service ID for Multiple Courses
When calculating average marks, the system currently only considers one prior and one current GRD record per Service ID. It does not account for scenarios where multiple GRD records exist for the same Service ID—either multiple current or multiple past marks—potentially leading to inaccurate grade averaging. Optimize Page Load Performance on Counseling Page for Students with Many Records
The Counseling page (Counseling.aspx) experiences performance issues when a student has a large number of counseling records or when the records contain long comments. The page loads slowly when initially accessed, and there are delays when trying to add, save, or delete records.

Allow export of Ed-Fi sync logs
In the Ed-Fi System Initialization and Testing, users have the option to go through endpoint-by-endpoint and sync Aeries records with the Ed-Fi ODS. The resulting logs are often thousands of records long, and the Aeries UI has no way of allowing export of these logs: They cannot be copied or downloaded in any form. The only way I have found to parse them is to download the html of the page and run custom scripts to discard the HTML encoding and compile the error logs. This is frustrating and time-consuming.

Enable ESI Table Rollover for TexasAssessment Access Codes
Currently, the ESI (External Student IDs) table does not roll forward during the New Year Rollover process. This causes the EID field (TexasAssessment access code) to be cleared, breaking Parent Portal SSO for historical state test results until new STAAR scores are imported.

Attendance History (AHS) not analyzing all tracks
Attendance History and Days Enrolled on the Attendance page are not matching. AHS Update uses legacy logic that only processes tracks A–F. When tracks beyond F are encountered (e.g., Q), the track value is zeroed and AHS falls back to generic holidays (HO) instead of the track‑specific holiday column (e.g., T17 for Track Q). Result: Days that should be excluded for Track Q aren’t excluded in AHS, inflating “Days Enrolled.”

Allow tooltips that show the query code for a field.
This is a feature that used to be activated on the SQL version of Aeries. It would be such a time saver to be able to hover the cursor over a field and have the table and field query field code pop up.
1 voteWe are currently working on a project to have table and field overlays for every page in our system. This is partially completed already, but will continue to be worked on throughout this year. These are accessible via the table and field icon in the top right corner.
