Hello, we wanted to let you know that this item is being actively researched so it can be brought forward for development. We are seeking clarification from the CDE to determine the scope of this work. Be advised the solution will require the use of the single-column enhanced transcripts in order to allow room for the visual printing of the seal(s). We will alert you when development is ready to be scheduled.

Hello, the STAS file layout has been updated to include the Attendance Recovery Days column. The data will extract with 0 at this time. The business rules will be implemented later closer to the time it will be collected in the EOY CALPADS submission.
CALPADS has informed all vendors that they will be implementing the new layout in a couple weeks, closer to the end of September. LEAs should refrain from uploading any STAS extracts until CALPADS has implemented these changes.
As a reminder, the STAS extract is not required to be submitted until the End of Year submission.

An update has been posted to the Known Issue Informational Post regarding Attendance Recovery LINK
3/27/26 - Coming Soon:
Final testing is being conducted on a large update to Attendance Recovery process, which will allow accurate tracking of earned versus utilized time.
Key changes will include:
- Attendance Recovery hours earned are stored at the session level and will be summarized for reporting.
- When an absence is recovered, Minutes Utilized are automatically tracked on the attendance record (ATT.AMU).
- A new Attendance Recovery Bank (ARB) page will be available for California districts, providing a read-only view of all students' AR summary data. This clarification message was added to the SUN Bucks communcation pieced linked earlier, so we are adding it here to maintain consistency as to our plans:
-----------------
There seems to still be some confusion, so we are clarifying out intended actions, as many comments added to this idea cover a wide variety of requests:
We are planning development during the current quarter to make specific upgrades to allow recording in Aeries which students were designated as Free or Reduced based on the UBA (and not the NSLP Application) via a new Source Code. The actual collecting of the UBA, analyzing the responses, assigning the status to a student, and conducting audits would…

We should not be having to "vote" to elevate this enhancement request. I know our admin will be extremely displeased to learn of this and may start looking for another SIS. Please pass this article along.

Many high schools will weigh college-level courses with an extra point. Even if a high school doesn’t, a college or university might. UC will award an extra point up to eight courses for AP, IB or dual enrollment courses. CSU will do the same.

We have a summer school database that we don't report and it is very confusing when parents get notifications from this database. We also do not use gradebooks in the summer database, we use it so students can access digital resources. Please change this to school based!
